"The catch is that there's a time limit for each of the campaign's five chapters, so if you can't accomplish the goals within that time, then you'll have to restart the whole chapter. This is particularly obnoxious because you can't manually save your progress. Any missteps or delays you encounter along the way become a permanent part of your balance sheet. Thankfully, the game is saved every time you exit, so you don't have to complete a chapter in a single sitting. "

We are talking about some kind of elite like open world trading and they slap me with time limits when I have to be done with the story stuff?

Nope.

I have little problem with lower-rated games appearing here (within reason), though I wish there'd be more released here that have more votes on the wishlist, like X-Blades, Bullet Witch, Bet On Soldier, Ubersoldier II, Vendetta : Curse of Raven's Cry (I know somebody campaigned to get that here for a while), etc. I do realize those are different publishers. 1C/Fulqrum has several higher-rated but similarly priced - cheap - not yet here, but maybe the DRM-free versions are exclusive to Zoom-P.

Sad to hear, but good to know.
Reason enough for me to not buy it either.
I hate time restrictions.
And I'm also not too keen on limitations on manual saves (though this game seems to save everytime when you leave - so you at least don't lose progress (or have to wait/search for a save point first)) if you (have to) stop playing.

Well, that's the old problem, isn't it?
GOG (or any shop, really) can't release/sell, if the Devs/Pubs don't want.

Although I agree with the said, I should note that if the game is interesting, then such problems such as the timer can usually be fixed with a trainer or Cheat Engine.
This game is good. It's extremely janky, but it actually delivers on the promise of a game called Space Trader Merchant Marine. I wholeheartedly recommend this one if you don't mind some jank.
mostly old game but has some good parts
p.s, got it, thanks Gog!
