why isn't this marked as in dev? it's early access on steam:
> “We plan to be in Early Access until the release of Episode 7, which we're currently hoping to release in 2024.”
The trailer music catches the eye.
This game needs a content warning near the top of the store page about there being flashing images.

It's not okay that the developer only has at the very bottom before the system requirements: "Scarlet Hollow is a horror game, and it is not intended for all audiences. Please visit our website (https://www.blacktabbygames.com/content-warnings) if you need a full list of content warnings." I'm on a laptop thus will always check the system requirements, but someone with a high end computer might not look down that far.

It is only after you copy this URL and paste it in your browser that you get the following warning: "Spoiler free content warnings include eye strain and flashing images."

I get it that this is entirely the developer's doing, but GOG really needs to be more insistent that developers be more upfront about these types of warning and not try to hide them away where someone might not look. At least it is not hidden on a screen you only see after purchasing the game, but it's still going to create more work for GOG's support if even one person needs to request a refund on the basis of flashing images.

Hi there! Dev here — thanks for bringing this to my attention and apologies for the oversight on our end! I've just updated our Steam page to contain the flashing images warning at the top of the description, and will ask GOG to make similar changes to the store page here (we don't actually control our page on this site.) We'll be adding an accessibility option to disable flashing images for the next patch, as well.

Hope this helps!

Hmm, I like the ideas I'm seeing, but I'm going to deduct points for including a pug. Should have just included another opossum.

Problem is, I've seen enough horror movies by proxy to presume where most of the plot is going to end up; thanks to too many years of reading All The Tropes. (The better version of TVtropes hosted on better software.)

Show me a deer with a weird tumor and

It's probably some weird chemical factory or something manmade involving dimensional holes.

I'm completely okay with a lack of accessibility so long as the warning comes on the game's store page. However as someone with two types of accessibility issues in that I'm color-blind on top of getting migraines from seizures graphics, I do like to try to support developers that actively support any type of accessibility issue - even the issues that don't affect me personally.

I'm wish listing your game for now as it's easier to be patient with episodic games when they're sitting on the wish list than in my library.
Glad to see this game made it to GOG. Have been following it for some time. Played first episode for free on Steam. Was hooked on immediately. Interesting visual novel with perks system. Looking forward to finished product.
Interesting art style. Hope it's a good game.
