Uncharted Waters like game huh?
Looks interesting may take a look at it after doing some research!
Wow, it's not even on Steam yet - just looking for more info about this game.

[EDIT] Lol, I looked up Sarges (autocorrect) instead of Sagres. Would help if I looked up the right name. Yes, Sagres is on Steam - stupid autocorrect - Sagres is a place in Portugal.

Yes it is, at least I see it.
Looks interesting. Wishlisted.

GOG.com: Release: Sagres
This looks really nice - wishlisted for now.

Though, this line..:
"Can you become the master and commander of a unique "rock-paper-scissors" turn-based combat system?"
...reeks of randomly decided battles...not sure, if I like that.

Just speculating here, but most likely it's a "weapon triangle" system and not random. Kinda like in Fire Emblem. Axes beat spears, Spears beat swords, swords beat axes. That kind of thing.

EDIT: Nevermind, i took a look at the screenshots. It's literally RPS.

Awesome: you just described "rock-paper-scissors". XD

And yes - that is random, in that you have no clue as to what your opponent will choose next, and therefore you don't know what you should choose, to beat them.

Do I choose the 1/3 option that beats my opponent's 1/3 option, or do I choose the "wrong" 1/3 option?

It's purely luck based. A.k.a.: random.

Not exactly what i meant but i admit i spoke too soon as i had not checked the screenshots yet.
Oh well. It DOES look interesting.

There's indeed more strategy and less randomness in rock paper scissors than most people think (at least when playing against human opponents).
But, in spite of that, I find this combat system totally unappealing.

Yeah, but that's because you can "read" a human opponent.
You can't do that with a computer opponent.
It's actually more likely, that the computer "reads" you instead.

Same here.
Maybe the dev chimes in to clear things up...but until that happens, I'm not convinced by that battle system.

From what I can make out of the screenshots, you have to set 3 moves, you get to know some of the opponents moves in advance, and you must select yours among a limited selection (not sure if that depends on your character's stats, the encounter or what). So, it has some twists, not 100% pure RPS, but I'll still need to read some reviews before getting convinced in one sense or the other. In other aspects, the game looks quite promising. Maybe too many minigames for my taste anyway?

Definitely.

Oh, absolutely - I really like the look of it, and (most) of the gameplay (what I can see in the screenshots and the trailer).

The mini games...I think, I kinda like them? (but again: purely going by what I can see in the screenshots and the trailer).
Yeh... the RPS factor is surely a negative point, but otherwise this looks like a game that would keep me invested.

Awaiting more reviews!
Looks interesting, but that hair is just going to be way too much of a distraction.
