Wreck it Rad!

Rad Rodgers: World One, an offbeat platformer about a mischievous boy who gets sucked inside the world of videogames, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.

We've all been there: after an exhausting night of trying to beat your favorite videogame, you doze off and end up waking inside the gameworld. That's Rad! And he's not alone - his old console Dusty is here with him, providing snarky commentary, platforming assistance, and some pretty nifty weapons. Just in time, too, because as Rad soon finds out, this lush jungle world is slowly succumbing to a sinister corruption and it's up to him and his console buddy to blast away the baddies and save the day. Just like old times!

Rad Rodgers is planned as a series of standalone “Worlds”, with new Worlds yet to be announced!
World One is the first of these instalments and while it was “In Development" it received plenty of additional levels, bug fixes, and general improvements. Better take cover, because it is now ready to unleash its full old-school patforming power!

Embark on a wild platforming adventure with a boy and his favorite sentient console in Rad Rodgers: World One, DRM-free on GOG.com!

Already out of in-dev? That was fast.

Lol that first review : "Haven't played this game yet, but..." XD
As always, the GOG review section is rushing to provide quality information! It's nice to see that GOG's very serious effort to improve their customer reviews by having a contest that one time has been blessed with results.

The second review is "Cool thing)))))Will buy))))))" in Russian.
Sigh.
Why do their mouths get mosaic-ed? O_o Isn't a beep enough?
Well, that was fast. Still disappointed about the way the series and the episodes (worlds) will be managed, though.
"World One"? Yet it's no longer marked as In Dev? Hmm...

Because the other worlds will be separate, standalone games.

It comes across a bit cynical to call your game "Part 1" to me... I prefer it when the focus is on delivering a complete, stand alone product instead of shamelessly sequel baiting from the get go.

It's no different from what Telltale and other devs are doing, releasing games one chapter or episode at a time. ( In fact, for Telltale games and various others you have to pay for the whole game right away, even when only one episode is out. )

This approach has various advantages for the devs, and even for the players, but I'm not personally a fan of it either. I prefer my games to be "complete" before I start playing.
