UPDATE: If you are looking to give your punching experience that extra kick, you can now purchase the Punch Club Deluxe Edition Upgrade which includes the game's soundtrack as well as the spiffy artbook. This bonus content is also included in the Punch Club Deluxe Edition.

The black eye of the tiger.

Punch Club, a rocky-solid fighting manager, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Science has irrefutably proven that witnessing your dad's murder in a dark alley yields a 68.3% chance of transforming you into a fist-swinging bringer of street justice. But in order to fulfil this noble destiny one must also train hard, obsess over carbohydrate consumption, and always look good in boxer shorts.

Hit the gym, the steamed chicken breasts, and anyone that looks at you the wrong way or from across the ring. Get used to getting knocked out but never get comfortable with it. Be sure to use your noggin not just to wear out your opponent's mean left but to make the right decisions when customizing your fighting build or juggling your social, financial, and everyday life. The path to your father's killer is paved with sweaty treadmills, loose teeth, and blood-thirsty crowds. Micromanage and fight your way through it for that sweet sweet uppercut of personal gratification.

Learn to always punch high on your road to greatness and start taking about the Punch Club, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Wait, it's a bloody management game? You don't even get to actually fight? To think I was interested when I saw the lovely, 16-bit action game style pixel art.

Dammit GOG, You got H2 Interactive on board a while back didn't you? Where's the action games? Where's BlazBlue CSE and Raiden IV?

why this needs 3D graphic card?

flanner: why this needs 3D graphic card?
Because it has GPU accelerated pixels ;)

aha :)
I've had this odd craving for a Baseball one of these, does that even exist.
Good game, though it really needs more late game content. At the moment, it's just grinding for one fight.
I actually like that it's a management game and not an action game. And those graphics look fantastic! Definitely a near-future purchase.

markrichardb: Ah bugger, I bought it on Steam a few days ago. Wish I got it here. Cute game. Fights aren't controlled directly, instead you pick a selection of moves each round and watch the results with stat and ability modifiers. Everything outside of fighting is kind of like a life sim where you have to divide time between keeping the refrigerator full, training in the gym, and taking a job to pay for it all.
Get a refund on Steam. As long as you've played less than 2 hours.

gamesfreak64: like Barry McGuigan World Championship Boxing (1989) ?
i played that game and similar games in the 80s-90s

sometimes its not needed to do the joystick/joypad bashing your self.
i am mainly curious how the game plays regarding motions and flashes, old games tend to flash a lot, and these flashes are not very good for my photosensitivity.

so i guess i check the videos out first and decide much later what to do.

fan3l: did not played that one, even that i like sport sim or sport manager.
its a very old game.

Regarding Punch Club , i watched several videos and i think i have to pass on punch club, kinda sad cause the game looks very good.

There have been loads of games released in the past weeks:
but sadly cant play any of these games above ....(motions/photosensitivity)

i do have Underrail which i dont play cause there's many subway levels with irritating glowing light which cant be disabled ,and the dev fixes and adds lots of things but not the thing i need most.

I was able to get some old games so i have at least some games i could ad to my collection:

Overclocked: A History of Violence
The Moment of Silence
Cultures.
Cultures 2,
Northland,
8th wonder of the world

you like 8/16 bit pixel beatup up with mega flashes grindy noises, and bad overpowered loud music?
gamersgate and steam seem to have tons of old coinup games for pc, i stay away from those cause these cause me lots of sore eyes (flashing effects) and headaches and motionsickness

lucky for me i found out it were those games , so i avoid these games and only go for easy games with relaxing music and no flashes of light, and that saves a lot on headaches an 'seizures' :D

I just stick to simple click and point no 3d no rotating nothing like that, no flashes of light.
Downside is, this will severely lower the games i can play thus buy to a very low number, so far i have been able to get 4-8 games from the latets 30 or so...

gamefood: Wishlisted!
I like that the most people here are no spoiled kids and like the graphics and visual style of that game (and the SNES era and/or earlier).

And "Lazy Bear Games", what a really cool name guys! :-)

micktiegs_8: Well, looking at the overall rating, I beg to differ on the 'spoiled kids' observation. Who cares, honestly; I'll still buy a game regardless of 'popular' opinion.
Yeah you're fully right. But These 'spoiled kids' don't need us to tell everytime that they don't like Pixels.
"Pixels meh oh no not again an indie blah where are the triple A's mehblahblah" ... Fortunately they're a tiny minority. At least here.

GOG.com: UPDATE: If you are looking to give your punching experience that extra kick, you can now purchase the Punch Club Deluxe Edition Upgrade which includes the game's soundtrack as well as the spiffy artbook. This bonus content is also included in the Punch Club Deluxe Edition.
Since the deluxe edition wasn't available initially, and there was no indication that it was forthcoming, many of us that would have purchased it here settled for the vanilla edition. Now if we want the extra content upgrade we'll have to pay more than those that buy the complete package just three days later? That's not right. Those of us that already bought the game should get the difference discounted off the cost of the upgrade, at least for a while.

I'm not really interested in the soundtrack myself. But I definitely agree with Barry.

Yeah, not cool, you're right.

If you got the standard edition before Deluxe Edition came out, and you'd like to get all the deluxe goodies now, please send us a support ticket.

Even if you already downloaded the game, we'll give you a full refund in store credit so that you can pick up the Deluxe Edition without overpaying.

Sorry about the hassle, guys.
