Wasn't there another game that takes this... "Anime-fication" of Wehrmacht/Waffen-SS tanks and tank crews even further by turning it into a visual novel? Or am I imagining/misremembering things?

This one here actually doesn't look that bad and might even be competent enough for a bit of casual Panzerkampf.

The game I was thinking of a few posts earlier is Panzermädels: Tank Dating Simulator, by the way.
Turns out I was not that far off, but definitely forgot about that the girls you're trying to court in this are apparently personifications of WWII tanks like the Panzer IV or the Tiger I.

We can date Pidgeons and I think freezers, so tanks is nothing to far away...


Anyway, the game somehow looks like an low poly comic shader World of Tanks.
Not sure if I like the WoT part.

I'm on the fence about this one. People are calling it a cheap ripoff of Valkyria Chronicles. One of the steam reviewers said, "buy at your own risk." Maybe I should just play Valkyria Chronicles instead?

Or wait for a sale, just in case; you can also use the old Steam trick of buying the game, playing it for a bit, and asking for a refund if you don't like it.

Tank shooters are also commonly known as tank destroyers.

Valkyria Chronicles is a strategy game, it is just that characters tend to shoot while someone is moving. The series had the potential to be essentially WW2 anime XCOM. Unfortunately, my experience with VC4 was very disappointing - the mission design felt artificial and unfair.

Panzer Knights is much more like World of Tanks, without the microtransactions.
