- Before the battle of the fist comes the battle of the mind - said master Shifu once. It means we must prepare our minds for the second part of the world's fastest brawler. One Finger Death Punch 2 is now available DRM-free on GOG.COM. Experience cinematic kung-fu in the most epic stickman fighter ever made… while using only two buttons!

Until 4th March 2020, at 2 PM UTC, you can buy One Finger Death Punch 2 on GOG.COM with a special 50% discount.
Shouldn't that really be called "Two Finger Death Punch"? =P And bought.
OH, YEAH!
Very cool, more evidence to me that curation is trying to do fewer rejections ("and that's a good thing" imo). I wish we could have gotten the first one also though, maybe as a bundle.

I never expected a bundled game to be so good that it made me both order and complete the sequel within 1-2 weeks from its release.

OMGGGGG INSTABOUGHT!!!

Thx gog for bringing this here!

Instabought this on Steam, because I had little confidence that gog would get it, instabuying it again now to show my appreciation for:
- gog bringing it
- the dev including all the Galaxy features
- hey, it's 50% off and it's probably the most fun game in 2019

Hopefully, we'll get the first one here too, eventually.
Cool, but why not bring the original over too?

isnt it inferior in every wai? isnt #2 just #1 but improved?
Silver Dollar Games [developer]

There are no plans for a bundle at the moment. The way I see it, OFDP2 makes OFDP1 obsolete in every possible way. And that was our goal. We wanted to refine the experience to the point where we could take two buttons mechanics no further.

Well, I still heard good things about the first game and would like to try it out. I don't see the harm in giving us more ways to throw money at the devs.
Bought.

I was wondering about the first game, but if the developer really feels it is an obsolete game due to this sequel...

suggested 'official' statement from when I talked to David: "We are no longer continuing development of OFDP1 as we've long since moved on to a new game engine." - David Flook

basically, afaik the tools used to create it are discontinued. Maybe some version of it can show up here without the Steam features though? *shrug*

edit: ah Fairfox has info also

What? I just was interested in buying the first game, what does their discontinued development have to do with it? Is the implication that they rather not bother re-implement the leaderboards for GOG Galaxy?

Something about Microsoft discontinuing the tools the first game was made with, iirc. If you have time you might contact David directly (email): http://www.silverdollargames.com/

The dev is entitled to his opinion, of course, but I disagree. OFDP1 is still an immensely fun game. I don't really get the reasoning here, it's like saying "Super Mario Bros 3 is superior in every way to Super Mario Bros 1, so let's stop selling Super Mario Bros 1." Both are damn fine games in their own right, with their own unique charm.

Please bring part 1, too. Even if it is outdated and missing any online-features, at least as a bonus item it is worth to be archived as part of the series, I would even PAY for it, if that helps the situation. Thanks a lot!
