In this game of thrones, you mutate or you die. Horribly.

Nuclear Throne, a wild roguelike where you mutate your way to the throne of a post-apocalyptic world, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com for Windows and Mac (with a Linux version also on its way).

Apocalypses tend to be volatile and unpredictable, but if there's one thing you can count on, it's that once they hit, there's going to be a chaotic struggle for supremacy. What better way to get ahead in this race than with flexible mutant powers and an overpowered arsenal at your disposal? The Nuclear Throne is ripe for the taking, so grab one of the 12 available characters, exploit their unique abilities, and exterminate your opponents. Mutate your limbs in imaginative ways and create incredibly fun combos (of powers and weapons) to survive the frozen cities, underground labs, and vast deserts filled with radiation-fueled enemies. Just make sure to wash your hands afterwards. Assuming you even have hands.

So go out on a limb here and let radiation grant you the power to claim the Nuclear Throne, DRM-free on GOG.com.

PLEASE NOTE: Daily and Weekly challenges are NOT available in the current version of the game but will be added in the future.
Another apocalypse !?

YES!

rampancy: I do remember that something similar happened with another game though, but I can't rightly remember.
Hearts of Iron III was for some time don't publish too for example.

Yeah, sure, because we never heard that one before: http://www.gog.com/forum/ronin/linux_version_timeline

Looks like a good game, but I'll wait for the actual Linux version to come out, or a deep discount, whichever comes first.
I have to say I really enjoy this game. :) I've reached about 70-80%, did a lot of retries and it's still fun.

The game is great. I am not that good at it but I enjoy it very much every time I play it.
From time to time I consider purchasing NT. Was it ever updated to match the Steam version?
I don't think it was. They just don't give a shit about putting newer builds anywhere else than Steam.

Nope. We're missing an update, the Linux version, and the Daily/Weekly challenges. I'm wondering at what point it becomes false advertising, since GOG sold the game with the promise of the Linux version and challenges being added in the future.
I wanted to check this game out, but I was hesitant because how Luftrausers was handled with the lack of updates and all. I am avoiding buying any games by Vlambeer. If they ever decide to get their act together and start treating us with respect, I might change my mind.
Hahaha, people remember, people remember, Developer.

Well, that's disappointing. I like the visual style in this game, but I'm not willing to invest in something that's incomplete.

It's pretty frustrating how common it is that DRM-free games have their content cut compared to their Steam counterparts. Oh well. I guess I'll just save my money for now.

How's that coming along, over a year later? The Linux version that was "also on its way" is also still missing.

Given that there hasn't been an update to this game since release here on GoG - I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the time frame of such an update will be 'never'.
Nuclear Throne has now finally been updated.
