Foot meet teeth.

Mutant League Football: Dynasty Edition is now available DRM-free.

Welcome to MFL, a wacky, arcade-y iteration of American football starring real monsters and now complete with the single-player Dynasty mode where you build and manage your team towards bloodstained glory.
Is this worth it for SP?
I guess it would be very difficult to play for someone who has zero knowledge on american football, right?

Silverhawk170485: When I saw the picture I thought it is Bloodbowl and I was very exited but then I realized that it's not. It seems that it's a realtime football game. That's not my cup of tea. I want the Bloodbowl 2 Legendary Edition here.
Success of this adjacent product might help negotiations to get Bloodbowl here. I mean, GOG does have GW licensing. It's just the game dev that doesn't want it here.

It's an over-the-top arcade experience. Most of the rules get thrown out the window. If you're familiar with basketball, hockey, lacrosse, polo, rugby or soccer, you get the gist.

American Football? Nah!
Any kind of Single Player?
Maybe contrary to others, but I love that there is an American football game on here! Very disappointed if Galaxy-only multiplayer.

I want this game as a football fan, but not sure $30 is worth it for singleplayer-only. I do enjoy things like the old Franchise mode like from Madden games. Anyone have this game and have thoughts on this?

EDIT: Wait, 4-player local? Meaning no need for Galaxy to play a multiplayer game since it can be played same-screen local? Sold!

I played about 12 hours of single player last year before the dynasty update. It was enjoyable enough.

Just hoping they added a few new jokes for the commentators. They went from hilarious to grating pretty quick.

From the store page:

"Dynasty Mode is a single player experience where you become the coach and GM of your favorite Mutant Football League team and take a group of unproven rookies and turn them into monstrous all-stars by winning multiple Mayhem Bowls over several seasons to become the league’s next Dynasty."

So yea, it sounds like there is a real single player mode. Or at least they claim it has a real single player mode. Im kind of tempted to get this one. Im not crazy about sports, and I don't really do multiplayer, but every once in a great while I feel like playing something like this.

EDIT:

I guess I took way too long to type this and got taken out by a ninja :(

Do you remember the Mutant League cartoon? I used to watch that Saturday mornings way back when. They were able to get away with lots of violence and gore because the characters were all mutants.
