I wonder if GOG is setting things up for a release of the older Mechwarrior games down the line (at least the Activision ones).
Could just be wishful thinking on my part, obviously.

The Mechwarrior IP is kind of a mess, so getting any other MW titles is probably not going to happen. Which is a pity, i'd love to get a few of them again. I had most of them on disk, but I lost most of them in a house fire years ago. :/

Weren't most issues related to the first Battletech games (and their Japanese mechas) fixed now? Or they do not aplly to the games?

The Harmony Gold situation has finally be resolved. But the older MechWarrior games are all owned by different studies. FASA, the original creators of Battletech, closed down years ago as a game maker and only exists as an IP holding company. Microsoft nominally owns the rights to make video games under the 'Mechwarrior' IP but they seem uninterested in bringing the older titles back into circulation.

I do hope they don't clean up the Free Skye Movement too much in the story lol. I kind of like the idea of the moral quandary of having to work under "Duke" Aldo Lestrade.

I think it's safe to bet that Mechwarrior 6 will take place in Clan Invasion period. Though I hoped it would be itroduced in large DLC.

There will be no MW6, at least not for the foreseeable future. They have the license for it for a few more years and said this DLC is the last thing they are doing with it. Apparently it didnt do as well as they watned. I completely blame their bs exclusivity deal. By the time it went to the other platforms people just didnt care since it waz a hear old and other stuff was out. I understand they also botched the launch and the first couple patches too. Its really sad, i waited 17 years for this and i love this game, but they reallg couldve done better and didnt handle it properly.

The worst part is I understand MW6 was planned, but they axed it and it was supposed to cover the clan invasions.

Heres hoping we have some solid, dexicated modders that love the clan invasion periox as much as i do. It would be amazing to add the MW2 and its expansions mechs and missions.

Is it an accident that Kestrel Lancers and Call to Arms soundtrack extras were included for people that don't own those expansions? I only own Heroes of the Inner Sphere.

I still have all my mechwarrior 4 disks, but what I do not have are all the patches. Is there still anywhere I can get the patches for them?
Even if I found a site on my own that offered them, I would not know if I could trust the download. I am not very computer literate, so I have to be cautious. Has anyone found a legit place to get all the MechWarrior 4 patches? Hoping to get Mechwarrior 4 was the reason I joined GOG in the first place. I thought for sure the MechWarrior games would arrive here eventually. Here I am 6 years later, still no Mechwarrior 4 on GOG.
