TheGrimLord: This is simple. It's the anime and manga style, so yes. All the characters have to be standard size, look human and there have been "a few" scifi games in this genre, but most are fantasy inspired because of RPG Maker being conceived as an engine to make traditional RPG games. You see a few branch out every now and again, but it's mostly going to be the fantasy setting.

Also, please keep in mind that these games were not made for the rest of the world. They're made by the Japanese for the Japanese doujin market. These are essentially the bulk of Japan's indie games market. And again, different audience and more focus on eroticism then say, the western market.

Just hop in Kagura's Discord. They create a new channel for their latest game as soon as it comes out. So you can hop in there and people will tell you exactly what it has. Always use their Discord when you want to know about their games.

or even eroge games of this sort
i even like quite a bit of the kagura games
just want a bit varriaton
If you only eat one sorts of food all the time most people end up getting bored of it
at least thats the case for me
Seed of dead also here on gog was forexample diffrent
GOG doesn't have a choice, they made a deal with this publisher and have been releasing their new games a week after steam and other platforms get them. There's not going to be an end to these unless GOG stops working with Kagura who is known to be very prolific in releasing these games.

RedRagan: "This game is not for western market, because western people are pure people who don't play porn games!"

Meanwhile

USA is the biggest adult industry in the world, churning out porn videos by the thousands. Playboy magazines pioneered the "Gentlemen magazine" followed by many magazine publishers around the world. Porn industry also thriving in Europe where they're more open with sexuality. Also so far I can recall, most adult websites also pioneered from western side of the globe. The website domain name sex(dot)com was sold for millions of dollars!

And how about video games? Oh my, the first porn video game in the world was made by an AMERICAN programmer! It was text based game, called "Softporn" in 1981 (GOG really need to release it, since, y'know, it's an old game)

So monsieur, I do believe your foolishness came from either your ignorance or you're one of those conservatives who think the world only have black and white morality.
No, because in Japan which was at the time pretty much closed off, they had their own version of adult games PC. Many of these games were not made available internationally until much later. They're a majority untranslated. The western adult market and Eastern adult market are two different things. In fact, because some Japanese are xenophobic or they don't feel we will understand their cultural sexual norms, they choose not to release or officially translate their games. Type Moon used to be like this and Eushully stands firm on it. This is not the west, Playboy or Softporn. This is a small island with a small indie dev scene mostly for them, which caught onto the west. That being said, most of these games are still not made directly for the west. You may see that change as the yen continues to fail and the Japanese seek financial assistance.

Point being, we're talking about a then mostly isolated country. Whatever we were doing in the 80's, Japan wasn't and they weren't influenced much by it either. They had their own cultural traditions there and those have carried on into this modern age.

_Auster_: GOG should at least go for some more unique RPG Maker titles if they want games from that engine so much.
Maybe I'll create some wishlist entries for such unique games, and not just for the smut ones.
It's a partnership. They release whatever Kagura gives them a week or so after everyone gets it. It's not about RPG Maker, it's the deal they made with Kagura. And the only thing that will stop that deal is if people stop buying them, unless it was a timed deal where they'll release these games for a year or so.

Waifu4Life: I have no problem with porn games being here, but why do they all seem like they were made out of the same templates?

Marcus-Havoc: Ignore this post, just doing it so I can post links.

So many people complaining. It's obvious why these games all look the same, low budget and cheap to produce.

I would like GOG to release some other Eroge titles, like the first Seed of the dead and slave princess Sarah.
Seed of the Dead: sweet home had a damn stealth release here, and it would have been nice if their other titles got released here. And let them host their adult patches here instead of us needing to go offsite.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1202280/Slave_Princess_Sarah/

I would even be thankful if you guys could get the succubus games from the developer Libra heart.
https://www.giantbomb.com/libra-heart/3010-14970/developed
They are like Castlevania, but adult and not even bad quality.
The publisher has been talking to them about the Libra Heart games. I've spoken with them, but these things apparently take time. Critical Bliss handles those games.

I don't understand people complaining -They look all the same-
Especially those people who didn't played those *identical* games.
And for Magical Girl Clesphonia all of that is untrue. The devs mad some nice music, the monster are unique (at last I haven't seen them and I played hundrets of RPGMaker games) and even the story has some interesting twists.

For all the others....look at every genre. There are a very few outstanding games with new ideas and/or graphics.
The others are just copies....Anyway what do you expect? An ecchi game with graphics and gameplay like say the Witcher?...for less than €20? For a market with maybe a few thousends sold copies????

Surely you jest. Do you realize how common pictures of anime lasses in schoolgirl outfits with massive stocking tits are? They even categorize them by individual school uniforms, it's so fucking common. On cardboard box imageboard, there's over half a million images tagged with "School uniform". "Large Breasts" numbers nearly a whole million. Magical girls aren't exactly in short supply either.

But you know the best part? I don't have to pay 20 bucks and wade though tedious gameplay to see the lasses in their knickers or less, in various compromising positions. And I can choose to filter out the rape as well, so that's a plus.

And I can look at weird monsters, listen to nice music, or read a story with interesting twists without the pretend premise; instead of that I'm just there to look at buttocks.

I actually laughing, I'm serious, I was expecting a typical rebuttal but your argument made me laugh!

One, it's the 80s, as in 1980s! Japan selling their stuff all over the world. You're talking as if Japan is still pre-1853! Grandpa, I think you need to buy a new history book!

Also, here I am sitting, looking at the shelf where I got my old ass games from Japan that I bought since the early 90s (yes, I'm old AF), some of them hentai games, from importers and people who went to Japan I ask them to buy games from. It's not that hard to get Japanese games if you know what to do. Hell, my friend has a huge library of PS2 Japanese games only. Old weeb find a way.

Ironically, most old weebs actually go out more because public internet is still in its infancy and we actually enjoy group watchalong and of course sharing mature material among weebs. First they're VHS and pirated floppy disks than we move on to burned CD copies.

And regarding translation, you do realize that fan translation exist for decades right?

Never underestimate horny weebs from 80s and 90s. We WILL find a way.

Well, get to work. I want to play some of those PC98 games in English. Also, someone needs to properly translate Dividead. They really fucked it up. Sure, you may have the games, but Horny weebs from the 80's, like myself want that old shit in proper English. At least The Sagara Family got remastered.

Also, no I'm not an idiot who is unaware of fan translations. I know some people in that very scene. Please don't think of me as someone who doesn't know about this stuff or I would not be speaking with the publishers and localizers.

Also, you talked about Japan selling their stuff all over the world, yet we didn't get several of those PC98 games in English. Period. So that proves my argument. The eastern scene is not in any way comparable to the western scene. Hell, let me know what western porn you've found with scat, watersports, rape, beastiality and God knows what else. Even the monster fucking is Japanese. That's their market. If you were alive in the 80's and 90's then you remember how niche this shit was.

The indie scene of RPG Maker and such games of this era cannot even be remotely compared to the PC98 visual novel days. They simply weren't making these kinds of games back then. These Kagura games are cheaply made for other Horny Japanese weebs, which aren't even the majority because most Japanese prefer the Honey Select series to anything else. If anything, we're actually in the final days of this RPG Maker trend since there seems to be more of a push for Unity and mobile apps. The PC titles are becoming more simplistic for a mobile based gaming market. Kagura has been around for quite a while now, but I don't think this trend is going to continue much longer.

Gone are the dating Sims, Japanese now want a character they can manipulate on screen with their finger. They want interactivity. There are a lot of reasons for that, many of which quite depressing, but it's true. The future of these games are mobile interactive experiences.

Oh, tell me great researcher....how many pictures of FPS characters are there around? How many Let's Play vids?
The same goes for every (EVERY) other game genre.....and Hey, I don't need to play them...I just need to watch the vid or the pictures showing the credits.

Ahh, why bother. If I learned something in the last 5 years it is that persons from your country don't accept other opinions.

end of line...end of conversation!

It woud bee fantastic to have official Type Moon and Eushully here DRM free here but i think maybe pigs will fly before that happens
Those companys you mentioned there are extremly good at what they are doing
At least i havent been disapointed yet of the games i have tried from them yet
its just a shame that japanese isoloation and the western attidudes when it comes to eroge will probabaly hamper sales of most eroge titles because of this.
So the only chance to actually play these games for the most part is unofficial english fan translation
unless profficient in japanese.
Theres literally 100 or even 1000 of titles we newer will see in the west
and its not only in eroge

annyway
i didnt mean to sound rude
just wished to show the kagura staff if they visit the forums here that some people here want varriations
diffrent assets and diffrent genres, gameplaytype
i didnt mean for them to totally stop making RPG maker games with very simmilar assets
just change it up sometimes
heck even changing gameplay types

You're not wrong. But I have no idea what their rhyme or reason is for licensing these games. We're about to get another, because it just dropped yesterday. The Dark something or other. So there is no shortage of these things coming. I do agree that different styles would be nice. There's a Succubus one that has an MGS stealth element to it.
