Honestly this looks kind of lame to me. The humor seems forced and too unsubtle.
Not even close to Ace Ventura 1996 or to sexy games.

This game is neither sexy or funny, I`m sorry.

So not as good as the Sierra games series?

Erm...Leisure Suit Larry?
Does GOG have a demo?

i had to update the bad old steam client and ''discovered'' game demo : size: 2.1 GB

Demo takes 1500 MB GPU ( my GPU only has 2 GB) best would be to have at least 4 GB GPU

5% cpu usage on a 9700K and 4 to 5 GB RAM is beiing used of the 32 in total.

Well it's nothing like the originals. Just playing the demo is just.. hell no. I doubt they are even trying to be funny, it's just stupid.

I have the Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded game and although it cannot be compared, it's better than the latest Larry games.

If my GPU can handle it i might buy the game later dusirng a large sales event.

my wishlist (provided my GPU can run the game )

Rosewater ( played a demo and i like it)

Nighthawks ( depends on what it is )

Encodya ( the demo looks okay)

Brassheart ( depends on what it is)

Born Punk : ( depends on what it is)

It is still nice that there is a company still breathing new life into the granddaddy of Adventure Gaming, Leisure Suit Larry. Sad as it may be, but Al Lowe and Josh Mandel have retired from the franchise but thankfully Jan Rabson is still on board to lend his voice, providing some form of continuity. I can't say I played much of We Dreams Don't Dry, but it was a nice game when purchased at a discount and the option to buy the add on original soundtrack is a must.

The output of CrazyBunch and Assemble Entertainment is commendable and the graphics are pleasing, but do come off a bit like a web based flash game (or a style callback to Parroty Interactive). Having Jan back as Larry's voice was necessary as it cements the character, though one trait that seems missing is playful banter between Larry and his inner voice of reasoning (The Narrator). If Assemble Entertainment continues with more titles in this franchise it would be great to bring in a Narrator (Brad Venable - Larry Reloaded) to add that extra bit of wit to Larry's observations. Perhaps the Pi assistant could be used in this capacity if it isn't already.

One thing I feel they can tone down on is the amount of phallic symbols peppered through the locals. Buildings, vehicles, room decorations, it just seems a bit much and forced. The earlier games hinted at these (La Costa Lotta middle finger building) and the statue outside of the Casino (Leisure Suit Larry 1 - 1991) but there was more clever humor in the writing and setup of the jokes.

I believe this franchise still has potential and this title may still be worth checking out, but likely when it drops in price a bit. Humor is hard and appeasing fans, new and old is a nearly impossible challenge. Keep it up Assemble.
