TheGrimLord: You don't see me judging yaoi titles because I'm not a gay man into that kind of content.
DarkBattler: Why not, if you think it's badly drawn?
TheGrimLord: Most people who play these are straight guys.
DarkBattler: I'm a straight guy and I think this game looks awful. It has nothing to do with my sexuality, just my tastes in art.
Yes, but your tastes in art are subjective, not objective. I have no issue with the art, but I also have more experience judging anime and manga style art than you do. Again, I play a lot of these just for the art. They're not erotic masterpieces like Sei Shoujo's art, but it's not bad for a doujin circle.
TheGrimLord: You don't see me judging yaoi titles because I'm not a gay man
joppo: Neither am I, but if one were to release here I don't think there's anything wrong with you or me pointing out something like
"That character's arms are unnaturally long. Is he Slenderman's alter ego or does the artist need to learn about body proportions?" That's not shitting on the genre or the target demographic, just a bit of lampshading on the artistic things that would perplex me even on a cursory look.
The same thing is happening here. You're conflating people that say the drawing is anatomically bizarre with people that say that this game (or the whole genre) is shit and shouldn't be here. One does not necessarily follow the other.
Okay, that I'll agree with.
