Dungeons, dragons, and forces of corruption.

Konung 1 + 2, the party-based fantasy RPGs where you set out to find a cursed bracelet, are now available DRM-free on GOG.com.

You are tasked with a quest no other man would dare undertake: to locate a legendary bracelet that's said to bestow upon its owner the power to rule the world. As inconvenience would have it, a great dragon guards this coveted trinket and the only way to overcome him is by putting together a mystical amulet that's broken into three pieces.

In Konung: Legends of the North you will choose among three available warriors, pick their class, and set out to explore the perilous Northern Lands, which are teeming with mythical creatures and mystical energies. In true old-school isometric RPG fashion, you must gather companions that will help you survive the hardships of these uninviting lands, upgrade your party's gear and subdue your enemies in real-time combat.
Alas, the bracelet is destined to wreak havoc and destruction upon this troubled world and in Konung II: Blood of Titans a new hero must rise and put an end to the tyranny of the dark lord whose mind got corrupted by the sinister powers of the accursed artifact. Will that be you?

Enter a fantasy world of fast-paced action and meticulous exploration, in Konung 1 + 2, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Nice. GOG is on a russian roll. Now, let's express our will for Hard to be a God, Daywatch/Nightwatch, Hard Truck Apocalypse and a few other nice hidden russian gems.

Rage of Mages!
Yay, sweet more rpg's.
I always wanted to try this series, great to see it here.
I wonder how the Settlement Management works?
Russians don't have big budget, but for the love of god, they can make some really enjoyable games. Sadly, due to the production values (translation and voice-acting being the most affected areas) and non-existent marketing, their games are just going unnoticed by the vast majority of gamers.

Would certainly welcome Hard To Be A God, as anything based on the works of the Brothers Strugatsky is a must-buy for me.

Further 1C games would be good too, like Planet Alcatraz, , [url=http://www.1cpublishing.eu/game/necrovision]NecroVisioN, and The Tomorrow War. GOG already has a lot of 1C games, so it's just a matter of letting them know we want more. :)
Ascension to the Throne + the Valkyrie expansion, too. And A Farewell to Dragons.
Question for Russians: Is "konung" also an older Russian word for "king", or did 1C simply nab the old Swedish word for the same thing?

(Nowadays we usually use "kung".)

There´s a third one as well?
Never heard of these ones. Anyone played them, and if so, what are they like? I'm intrigued.

In Russian game called "Князь", which translates to "Prince". Why is the international name "konung" - I do not know. :)

As for the game, it is terribly raw, simple and boring. Do not waste your time and money.
Nice, nice....I hope for the third installment too on GOG and all others good games from russians companys like 1C Company (Buka Entertainment acquired by 1C), Nival, Akella, Gaijin Entertainment, Ice-Pick Lodge, Lesta Studio, Targem Games, ...and maybe Nikita Online - for online games?
