Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is now available DRM-free on GOG.COM with a 10% discount lasting until 22nd September 2020, 5 PM UTC.

I was installing the game but the antivirus got triggered by "Gen:Variant.Ulise.116334" in koa.exe.download. I'm assuming a false positive but you never know.
Has someone else seen that ?

Nevermind, seems that it's indeed impossible to get the discount on GOG for steam owners of the original, shame.

I've read similar posts on steam forum too, and they said that they will fix it asap. What I wonder is if they will just whitelist the exe or something.

I just started the download, 15 euro's hihi, thats a no brainer, will quote you again once everything is installed and ready

According to this the improvements are very subtle.

Can't say for myself though since I never played the original one.

Oh wow. It’s here and with the original and with the 60%. Sign me up for half dozen. Not! Total con, steam gets a far better deal, idiot GOG fanboys defend it. Will not buy from here ever, nor anything else from this dev. And same is colouring THQ, has a few on the lookout list, forget those now. Stop supporting drm discrimination!

I skimmed through and didn't see comparison shots, so I'm guessing that's just an opinion he threw out there. I'll wait for detailed comparisons and see for myself. The "direct comparison" guy should have something good up soon.

Very Nice! But hit me again when it's 15 bucks (Standard edition).

I already have the original on Origin, so no hurry for me anyway but I like to have a DRM-free version eventually.

PS: rather spent that amount of money on games I havn't played already.

I hope will get some good patches, because right now it doesn´t look like a well-crafted remaster. See these benches:

(game should be able to hit 4K120 on midrange-hardware, but right now, it doesn´t on any!)

Phew! I feel lucky for not owning the original KoA:R on Steam (or anywhere else for that matter), as then I don't have to care about not getting some pre-owned extra discount etc.

So yeah, I am happy with the GOG release. So sue me. Or marry me. Either way you'll get f*cked!
