Death becomes her.

Killing Time, an old-school horror FPS where mortals bend in horrible ways before the ravages of time, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Give rich people a powerful Egyptian artifact and things are guaranteed to get pretty messy pretty fast. When the Water Clock of Toth finds its way to the hands of Tess Conway and she attempts to unlock its time-controlling powers, all hell breaks loose, leaving behind twisted human shells, ghosts, and demons. You are but a humble Egyptology student but you are the only one who can find out what befell the Conway Estate and try to blast the horrors of the past.
This fateful summer night of 1932 shall be full of terror and weird happenings. Thanks to the eclectic selection of vintage firearms and the frequent appearances of FMV characters, the old-school charm of the action will overwhelm you well before you encounter the offbeat enemies, which include killer ducks, wasps, and sewer blobs.

Hold back scores of ghostly horrors spawned by the misuse of an Egyptian artifact by Killing Time, DRM-free on GOG.com.

apehater: oh good another region block. i think i'm going to donate money to piracy websites. if you're upset with region blocks, greedy assholes and other shit in here, i'm suggesting to do the same. at least you get there drm-free, working and not region blocked games. that're all the nice things that gog used to provide years ago.
You mean virus and trojan infested files?
Thanks, but no thanks.
The last time i downloaded a game from a pirate site 10 years ago killed off my computer at the time.
No need to pirate the game. There's a legal alternative that isn't region-locked.

Klumpen0815: Could you please be so kind to at least mention the region locks in the news posts (preferably in an apologetic way) so we don't need even more community effort to get the crucial information first?

thanks,
your c******* bunny of d**m
I don't want to disappoint you, but I think this will never happen, because the less people know this, the less people care.

tinyE: I have a cousin in Missouri I'm not allowed to talk to because I'm a Harry Potter fan. :P

To these folks, it can't get any more subversive.
I have a few of those as well (cousins in Missouri, that is). When I came to visit, back in 2002, I remember driving past a church advertising a sermon about Harry Potter being devil's servant, or some such. Maybe your cousin belongs to that same congregation. :P

guppy44: I still have my 3DO but never did have or play this game. What an exciting release! I definitely snapped it up. :)

vicklemos: Well.... "at least' you have Return Fire, right? RIGHT?! :p

I'll never forget how I had a ''rich kid's day" some 20+ years ago and played this cool and weird fps both on the 3DO and Mac on the very same day. Memberries aside, it's a great game that deserves its place in 90s fps for sure.
You know, I rented that game but I never did own it. It's a shame as I remember having a great time with it. :)

Lord_Kane: Yeah ZOOM Platform is trustworthy, own a couple of games there.
Good to know, it seemed fishy at first glance! I'm still not going to register there. Because secure or not, I'm not interested in their games.
Maybe in the future, if they add a cool game unavailable here

What the hell? o_Õ
Why the devs changed the layout of the maps?
If I didn't see the cinematics (the lady asking for help at the first map, for example), I'd think it was different games!
Isn't pc version a port? It doesn't look like it. Not a normal port, at least.

OK, so let's be clear.

The PC/Mac version is totally different in term of level design and the graphics are much more crisp, sharp and has superior resolution to the original 3DO version. Remember the game Crusader of Might and Magic? There were also totally different level and whole game design.

Here you can compare the screenshots:

3DO version - kitchen:

PC/Windows version - kitchen:

And I also recommend you, to read throuh these posts:

Awesome! One of my favorites, great to see this wish fulfilled!

Too bad you released it during a massive sale, which makes it easy to miss.

And while I'll buy it at this price, I don't think many others will, the price just seems a bit too high given that the game never had any expansions.

With Crysis a couple weeks ago and this now GOG is really on a great run of FPSes!

EDIT: Strangely, the wishlist entry still hasn't been marked as "complete":

i agree with review on hardcoregaming101, PC version is vastly superior and more as an remake than port, but wait for sale unless you really want to play it. ;p

superior is what way ?
that the whole digitalised and life like atmosphere from 3DO ... was remade into a non realistic crappy cartoon on PC
its like you would remake Harvester and replace all those digitalised gore scenes with nerfed cartoons ... and change the story line and maps

The review only sees the 3DO version as if it was played on the 3DO ... with slowdowns due to slow memory and control issues ... but i talk about the PC emulated version that runs flawless , with better textures , mouse+WSAD controls etc...

The 3DO version is a classic gem , the PC version is sheit

Better and realistic (extended in some areas) level design instead of generic Wolf3d like, more detailed sprites of enemies unlike blurred digitzed actors, same applies for weapons, details instead of RotH style. Also fixed health/ammo balance, enemy AI and damage of weapons and their attacks, more complex endgame plus new ending.
