Get ready for an action-oriented, survival RPG in a randomly generated world. It Lurks Below is now available DRM-free on GOG.COM with a 25% discount until 1st May, 1 PM UTC. Fight through the massive underground dungeon, customize your character with random items and find out... what evil lurks below.
Ok, you guys really should have hired an actual artist to do the cover art, that cover is flat out garbage.

The game itself actually looks fairly nice, and artwork this amateur is going to make a lot of people skim past without a second thought. First impressions matter, and a shitty app-store-caliber cover is not going to do your game any favors.

Awesome release, don't be misled by the "mobile-friendly" splash page on the store, this looks to be a legit old-school RPG!!

greyhat: Edit: when it installed the notification said It lurks below was installed but in Galaxy it still shows up as Unknown game.

The game runs fine however.
Yah, same exact thing for me... wound up grabbing the offline installer from the web, but Galaxy 2.0 still sees it as Unknown game

trustymutsi: I really wanted to like this game, but it starts too brutally hard.
Yep, even on creative mode the hoards interrupt the tutorial/resource gathering, as it says that you'll only have to fight monsters in the dungeon; NOT true, you get bombarded with the pesky fucks as soon as they show up, and they keep spawning so much that you can't even get resources!

I suppose you'll have to keep battling them until you level up; then you can focus on resources, but my guess is that the hardcore crowd complained as per usual; and the dev changed the difficulty... I'm thinking of refunding it for credit as my money stays in this store, but I'll give it another shot!

EDIT: Read this on the steam forums, very valuable advice!

How to Commander Vile

Killing Commander Vile stops the Corruption of It from spreading and stops monsters from spawning on the surface! Until you kill Vile, the corruption will keep spreading.

SPOILERS:

Since Vile is not very smart, you can cheese him in a variety of ways (similar to how you can cheese most monsters, especially in Normal difficulty worlds). If you want to kill him very fast, I'd advise you to do so - he hits hard and has a lot of HP.

For example, you can stand on a pillar of dirt and shoot from above. If you're melee you can stand behind a pillar of dirt with one block dug out and hit through that. If there's a hole, he'll stand on the other side and look at you while you shoot him. There are surely even more ways, but let's leave it here.
