I'd rather fail than die. Rewind!

Bearhug_at: Seems like GOG forums go the way of the Steam ones, acidic and toxic. :/

Dogmaus: I only see legitimate doubts about the game mixed with positive comments. Not being enthusiastic about something is different than being toxic, and really this word is thrown about too much. Nobody is bullying someone else here. I haven't read anything harsh against the game or people enjoying the game (that would be bad).
Does these legitimate doubts about the game really tell buyers any interesting critique about the game in question?
The users that are moaning arent just moaning and complaining just to moan or is there any real substance to their complaints and not just because they themself not liking it for whatever reason?
Dont get me wrong, the so called positive comments thats written arent helpfull either.

No comments so far havent told me wheter or not i shoud buy the game or not
so far in the comments

Nothing about how its compared to other Tactical rpg to make an example
how the ui are, how the controls are, is the music/ost good or if theres bugs or issuies in the game

The only usefull thing i so far have gotten out of the comments is theres a rewind feature
whatever that means

Moaning or praising, No one yet seems to have noticed that it "appears" to only be available for Windows 10. I would expect some "reeee"ing when that particular penny drops.

As usual, Youtube reviews / gameplay will show whether the game will actually interest people.

It looks good enough to interest me, but at the moment my backlog is chokes because of (mainly) Stellar Tactics.

People here don't owe a review to anyone, everyone is free to comment the way they want. We are customers, a community maybe, not game journalists.

i Didnt claim anyone to be a game journalist but
as you said it yourself, everyone is free to comment the way they want unless the moderators steps in

Me writing my opinion the comments are useless are just as valid as anyones else opinion
and Bearhug_at opinion that the commments was acidic and toxic is just as valid.

So, me complaining over useless comments
or Bearhug_at that has the opinion that most of the comments are toxic or acidic shoud not come as a shocker.

Awesome that finally someone made a game about Finnish mythology! I'm currently busy with Ori ATWOTW and other games, but I need to start this one soon. My only concern is that, I haven't really played these older styled turn based top down RPGs, unlike modern third person action ones. I hope that won't reduce the enjoyment.

darktjm: Combines the best of turn-based and real-time? What is best? What is worst? Their description sounds like real time without pause, but with undo. Undo is rarely a feature of turn-based combat. I'd like a better description of what the gameplay is like.

I'd also like to know if it works on wine, at all.

At the current price, the risk of not working at all and the combat being a mouse grind I can't stand means I'm not interested in even trying, regardless of how pretty the game looks.
First off it works great in Wine. I'm running it via my Arch Linux install and played the whole first sections of the game so far in it via my Galaxy Wine install.

As for how this game I haven't played that far into it yet to have an overall opinion for a review. However, it seems to have full voice acting, at least up until you get past the boat (all I will say to not spoil anything). As I've not gotten further I can not say it's all voice acted.

Anyway, how it plays, it's normal paced movement unless you press space or enter combat. Once you enter this mode it opens up a timeline that looks similar to Kdenlive, Resolve, Adobe, et cetera for video editing. You move in section on this timeline like blocks of video clips in a sort of turn based way. Though each turn you and the enemy moves. You mess up and you can rewind to a section where you did a move. There is a cut off of how far back you can go, but for the most part unless something changes further in the game, you can always rewind time to undo something like a failed block. I am sure there will be other changes as the game even gave me an achievement saying, "found the first shard" for the time reversing.

Hope that sort of answers your questions with a little extra in there. :)
Game description with the time-rewind mechanism sounds good and the graphics also looks good. But sadly the game lacks Linux support, so it goes to the wishlist.

Thanks for the info! I might grab it on a high discount to try it myself on Wine then.

Finally dabbled in the game . Nice. better than i thought. the rewind mechanic can be fustrating initially when trying to time 2 charachters attacks/defense but it has grown on me tbh. GOG subforum is pretty much dead so i thought i would post here. Did get one frozen moment when the game stopped working ..might have been my audio or something. No other crashes at this point. Anyone else played it? .Oh is there any loot to pick up aside from barrels and food????.
