Ion Fury is now available DRM-free.

While Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison earned her codename defusing bombs for the Global Defense Force, when evil transhumanist mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel unleashes the members of his cybernetic cult onto the streets of Neo DC, she knows it’s time to start causing explosions instead of preventing them.

Her quest to slay Heskel leaves a trail of carnage throughout huge, multi-path levels filled with gigantic explosions, more secret areas than we can count, and inhuman foes behind every corner. There’s no regenerating health here; stop taking cover and start running and gunning.

I will once they'll add achievements and everything...

HunchBluntley: So, wait -- this isn't a case of the game having achievements on Steam but not here, as, according to your own post upthread, even Steam doesn't have them. Do you just refuse to buy new games that don't have achievements?

Pyromancer138: No overlay?
No cloud saves?
Just did a quick test run. It does have cloud saves and overlay seems to be working fine, but that's not reflected on the gamecard. No achievements though. Not that I ever care about those anyway. *shrug*

Launch stream currently going on over at 3D Realms' YouTube page (probably Twitch as well, but I just happened to notice it on YouTube first).

I really believe that achievements are for kids and would never not buy a game because achievements are absent - It really is a bit sad to base a purchase based on that.

Just my opinion!
Can't wait to play this tonight! Now bring on Dusk please.

No cloud saves?
No overlay?
No achievements?
No Galaxy support?
No problem.

I'm really glad I decided to pick this up on release. Now that I have the offline setup executable devoid of all those features I don't want anywhere near my Good Old Game, no further updates can ever poison my perfect copy. No joke. Keep that garbage away from me. Especially Galaxy. I didn't leave Steam to get another one.

Good for you, my friend.

I can respect that.

I tend to look at achievements as an added incentive toward replayability. A game could be the dullest butterknife in the drawer but I'd go back to it to complete the achievements. Conversely, the game could be really fun and if I'm gonna go back and play it again, having something else to do other than just re-play it doesn't rain on my second (and so on) playthrough parade.

I don't. Just curious about your thought process, and how far your (apparent) obsession with achievements goes...

...and the answer would seem to be, "It goes pretty far."
Anyway, how does "devs didn't want to add/have time to add/care about adding achievements" equate to "game is asking to be pirated"?

To be clear: I can kind of understand an insistence that devs/publishers have feature parity among different store services on the same platform...even though client-based "meta-features" are kind of different from the in-game features. But insisting that a game that doesn't have achievements in any version add them, or you'll never buy it? Seems kind of extreme to me. (I'll just ignore the "...but I'll still play it lol" part.)
It feels, it moves awesome and the music is gogasmic, plays like on psychedelic trip in cyberpunk realm.

Thank you and I can totally respect your point also - maybe I am just getting old at 31 but achievements have never been a thing for me. The only game I actively try and get achievements in is World of Warcraft and even then it's only so that I can fly in the new zones.
