Into the Stars a space survival and exploration sim, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% launch discount.

Think ruthless, unforgiving adventure and you barely scraping by. Think roguelike journey across beautiful, 3D universes. To survive, think faster than light.
You're at the helm of Ark-13 — a hulking colonial space ship home to 10,000 human civilians. The last. Your destination lies star systems away, and the trip is long and fraught with peril. But these men, women, and children have entrusted you with their lives.

Tread carefully, because you're in complete control of every single thing on the ship.

Into The Stars launched in early 2015 as an early access title, and has since evolved immensely thanks to community feedback. It recently received a huge overhaul to the combat and management systems, as well as tons of new content with more meaningful choices and many more branching stories. Today's launch brings a complete UI overhaul, even more content, and many other improvements. For more info on what's changed, check out the developer's changelog.

Set off on a voyage Into the Stars now DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will last for one week, until March 11, 4:59 PM GMT.

Backed that on KS as well. That one I backed at Legendary level, so hopefully I'll be adding my character and manoeuver to the game at some point.

IAmSinistar: And redeemed! Here's hoping my PC will run it. :D
Yes, I redeemed it also :-)
Looks tasty! Wishlisted definitely. Keep them coming, GOG! Don't listen to the naysayers.

amrit9037: Can we call it Poor Man's Sky?

Cyraxpt: How is it related to NMS besides the space theme? From what i understand it's similar to FTL but with shiny graphics.
PMS jokes are funny. Period.

For this, be sure, to-night thou shalt have cramps.
Looks good but I have to put it on the wishlist for now. Is it really rogue like i.e. no save?

IAmSinistar: Woo hoo, now to wait for my KS backer's key so I can play it. :)
You should already have it. You have to go onto BackerKit and click the button to claim your digital rewards. It will give you the link with the code for GoG if you picked the DRM-free version. I backed DRM-free on Kickstarter and already have mine and the latest backer-only kickstarter update says they should all be out now.
Can someone confirm, does this game have turn based combat? And all from in the view of the cockpit? Or do the screenshots deceive me a bit?

Already done, but good advice for any backers who didn't check their Backerkit yet.
Hmm. This looks interesting.
Ark 13 = Vault 13? :)

I watched a few Let's Plays. Assuming it hasn't changed the combat is "pseudo turnbased" - I'm not sure if you're familiar with the concept of "active time" popular in consoles but essentially there's a bar that drops down and when it's empty you can act with that system.

So you fire a laser, laser bar starts to decrease and when it's down, you can fire it again. I'm sure you'll work to time this with the enemy having his shield available, or when you can maybe fire two weapons at once. Hope that helps.
