It's not bad, just lacks the focus/gameplay hook of other PDS games and some features (e.g. character interactions) are half-baked. As far as I can tell, nothing about it is broken and there are no major bugs. It's a perfectly fine grand strategy game, but a hard sell compared to the alternatives, especially with the higher price, unless you specifically want a game set in this time period. I think they're earnest about fleshing it out, question is are they going to keep at it or is it going to be another EU Rome or Sengoku.
