Hedon is an experimental mix of classic and modern action game design running on the GZDoom Engine and bearing bits of inspiration from titles such as Hexen, Unreal or Arx Fatalis.

Oh this game does look mighty fine.

So many retro and old school looking releases recently, thanks GOG and all the devs :D!

EDIT: Just read the term "Boomercore" in the discription, thats a good one just like the term "Eurojank" is.

Sorry to say that I'm not that interested in these kind of shooters any more, although I do dig the music. Too bad the audio track is not part of the features, or I might have bought it solely for the music. Any chance that this track will be released, preferably in FLAC format?

This game is great, the level design will rock your socks off.


Would buy it, but I already got it on steam, but great to see it released here too finally.

I don't plan to add achievements, sorry (although I am aware you can do some legal workarounds to integrate them into GZDoom Engine's general public license, I am not interested in it).
Thanks GOD (GOG?) for that. No need for achievements.

I do have a question: is there the slightest possibility for a Mac version in the future? Thanks.

You can get it to run on Mac, but you'll have to do some work yourself and completely set up all the options/bindings etc.
Hedon uses it's own version of the GZDoom Engine which has a lot of work put into the customization of settings.

You can, however, download the Mac version of GZDoom - https://zdoom.org/downloads
Transfer Hedon.ipk3 (from the game files) into the downloaded and unzipped folder, rename it to Hedon.pk3, and then drag and drop it over the .exe

Other than this, there's a number of reasons why Hedon won't have a Mac port anytime soon.

Also, I don't guarantee it will work as well as the regular version, so keep this in mind. But if you still want to do it, make sure to turn off Texture Filtering and configure your Automap too.

Played the latest version of the mod, got so much blast I'm gonna buy the game and wait for new chapter(s), don't leave us hanging on cliffhangers!

GOG, you fell very ill. Please, try to stop releasing home-made shitgames. Yes, I do know that AAA titles despise you. But there are tons of much better and not-so-AAA games around, old and new. You will end badly if you continue in the same vein in 2020.

umm, I guess that pretty much means no. As if you have to do that it means you can also go with Pinacle, Xpadder or something else.
