Field of Glory: Kingdoms is the new game from award-winning studio AGEOD – and it’s now out on GOG, separately and in a special Masters Edition!

Politics, religion, war. They are nothing without a legacy that can stand the test of time. Lead any nation, and turn it into a mighty kingdom in one of the most compelling grand strategy games ever created.

Now on GOG!
The Masters Edition is very nice. It's a shame that, unlike FOG:E, there's no German localization this time :(

EDIT

The other Store/Forum says:

[User1 Question]:
German translation !!?? / "I was really looking forward to this game, and was very disappointed to realise that there isn't even a GERMAN translation :-(
Will this missing translation be released soon ?"

[Developer Answer]:
"As soon as possible yes, the text amount in the game is massive (more than 200.000 words) and so German was not fully ready. But it will come, sooner than later."

or

[User2 Question]:
Languages / "Please. I love your games, but please give us the german language."

[Developer Answer]:
"German is coming, but not yet. We wanted to use the same specialist translators as we did for Empires, but their availability did not allow us to have German translations complete before launch. Es kommt schon!"

What is with the pricing? The master edition is cheaper than Kingdoms alone, and also the base game is 7 eur more than on Steam.

EDIT: Nevermind. I cleared my browser cache, now the price is what it should be, it seems the storefront is buggy.

I suck at both 4X management and the combat in these games, yet I am attracted to them like a moth to the fire...

Yea or how your inner man craves for living your dream only to get devastated by poor game design aimed at keeping a certain mind of people in the game
don't get me wrong though

i wouldn't to scare anybody away from their potential 'Leonidas' encounter i had in the first game. I was playing as THE descendant of a (this day) very rich Greek, Turk Lineage. My mighty armies swallowed the world. Once the mightiest army, lead by a God Emperor with a Demi God entourage almost lost in the mountains of a forgotten place. A miserable garrison of peasants and farmers managed to withstand the might of the Unresolved for a 2 Full Years!

This is called EPIC. As usual, AGEod know what they are doing:

> The game in numbers:
450 factions
400 units
600 Buildings
14 Religions/heresies
90 Cultural traits (all new)

Also, [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGEod#Adaptive_Game_Engine_(AGE]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGEod#Adaptive_Game_Engine_(AGE[/url])
Am I the only one thinking that they ought to just make a version that both includes nation-building and actual combat in the same game? That awkward shuffling between two games makes little sense to me.
Looks amazing! need to get this eventually maybe before the end of this month! thanks Dev team, Slitherine and GOG!

Field of Glory: Kingdoms with a Masters Edition brings forth a compelling blend of historical strategy and immersive gameplay. Set in the turbulent times of medieval Europe, players are tasked with building and managing their own kingdom, navigating the intricate webs of politics, warfare, and diplomacy.
Dear GOG:

Your product (which appeals to me) is about 35% more expensive here than on Steam - 50% if you factor in the "complete the set" bundle functionality on Steam that is non-existent here. (edit: this is because I am in Japan and GOG prices their games only in dollars here)

I would prefer to purchase here, but for 35-50% extra? No.

Your posts are unmonitored, and spam like the previous post (#10) remain for a week or more.

It's pathetic.

If it goes like in Field of Glory: Empires, the combat in the 4X game is fine. If you really really want, you can play a battle in Field of Glory II, but it is not required at all. Actually if would be a drag if you played all the battles that way. It is a nice feature to have, maybe for a decisive battle, but not for every encounter. So, yes: the 4X title has nice, serviceable combat built in.

It's the same price as steam, when I look at it. But it's lame we don't seem to have the bundle deal steam is having right now.
