MarkoH01: @VirginRedemption: I already bought this on Steam a little while ago. I really LOVE the game and you did a great job mixing typing game and RPG with a nice artstyle and some fitting narration. I am a bit sad that you used steam DRM before (afaik it is not mandatory to use their DRM) and did not think the game would arrive this quick on GOG but the game itself really is good and I really recommend it. I am also glad that you are posting here to give support - only a few devs do this - especially on GOG. Nice to have you here :)
Thank you! Sorry to hear that :( I am also glad we are here.

zeogold: When I clicked on this thread, the page setup for me is just so that this was the first thing I read.
My first thought was "One of the few times we actually get a developer to show up in here, and the dude's been tainted by this place so fast that he's already up to some Bradley-style hijinks?"

Jokes aside, this looks like a great game, and it's nice to have you here.
Just out of curiosity, why'd you decide to release the game on Steam before bringing it to GOG?
Because when we released Epistory, the access to Steam was easier :) It's about being at the right place at the right time...

How so?
i'm just trying to gauge why some games here on GOG get a day 1 release while others can take upwards of a year to end up here

Does it have gamepad support? :)

I'm sure you could adapt it to take Morse code so you can play with the DK Bongos controller.

The game was firstly released on Steam in Early Access (back when EA weren't on GOG) then the team redid all the graphics for better visuals. My guess is that they submitted the game with the early looks and then had to resubmit it with the improvements. I made a thread one year ago with a link to their blog post about visual differences:

BONUS:
And if you want some backstage archive, here's the thread were VirginRed was asking for advices back in the very early stage of the development ;)

gamesfreak64: I like typing games very much but this is a 3d so i skip.

If a 2d non 3d/scrolling/zooming game will come i be very intrested.

one of the first typing games was typing shark, simple casual game
later more were designed , and lots of them are 3d, so thats a little bit less.

VirginRedemption: What's the problem with 3D? :)
They have lots of issues with particular types of games.
Explaining it would take way too long and I can't remember anyway. :P

VirginRedemption: I'll be there to answer your questions and for any kind of support about the game.
It crashes consistently in the main menu. Is that any kind of known bug??
2016-03-30 ==> steam
2016-10-18 ==> gog
anyway, better than nothing. welcome!

VirginRedemption: It's not a typing tutorial. It's an adventure game with a typing mechanic but it can help to improve your typing.
The game is not scary/violent at all. The enemies are insects that disappear when you hit them with your magic.
No bad language. We wanted it to be a poetic/atmospheric adventure.

What I would suggest you, is to download the DRM-free demo and make your own idea.
Hi, thanks for pointing out the demo. Apart from anything else, it allowed me to see if the game would run on my Vista machine, which it does. I thoroughly enjoyed playing through it. The only thing I wish for in the game is a dictionary to explain some of those words, lol! I have a decent vocabulary, but I have seen a good few new ones in there. This is a game I will definitely pick up, d.v., once it drops into my price range. Cheers!
I was hoping this would make it here, a friend of mine is going to be very happy. Wishlisted for myself while I sort out my spending arrangements.

That's two foxy releases in close succession, I'd love it if that was a sign that Seasons after Fall was coming.

Any reason for the strange regional pricing?

>>> It is $16.99 instead of $14.99 in NO
>>> It is $16.89 instead of $14.99 in SE
>>> It is $16.79 instead of $14.99 in DK, PL
>>> It is $16.69 instead of $14.99 in CH, regCZ, regDE, regIT, MC, MT, NL, SK
>>> It is $14.09 instead of $14.99 in GB
>>> It is $13.49 instead of $14.99 in regAR, BR, CL, CO, MX, PE, UY
>>> It is $12.29 instead of $14.99 in RU, UA, regUZ
>>> It is $11.49 instead of $14.99 in AU, NZ

I'm generally not a friend of regional pricing, but when people from Australia and New Zealand get the lowest price world-wide and Great Britain gets a discount while people from Poland, Slovakia, Italy, Czech Republic and Malta (just to name a few) have to pay more than the base price the whole thing gets completely ridiculous.

Thank you for making such a game, it looks great. Not sure I could keep up with the typing, but I appreciate that you made the game family-friendly without having to worry if a young one walked into the room. Seems a bit too rare today, so once again, thank you. :o)
