Rulers are made to be broken.

Eador. Imperium, the next chapter in the grand turn-based strategy/RPG series, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% launch discount. Veterans of the series who own either Eador: Genesis or Eador. Masters of the Broken World get an additional 15% discount on Imperium.

Return to the fractured universe of Eador and prepare to fight once more adrift the heavily contested shard-worlds. Pick among the Legate, the Lich, the Sorceress, the Pilot, or the Sentinel and dominate a fresh single-player campaign with more than 40 new units and plenty of unknown, war-torn battlefields. Added gameplay mechanics based on Masters and rituals will force you to mix up your tried and true tactics, but that's a small price to pay if you're looking to become the next ruler of the shards.

Beware of the cracks as you take your army across the broken world of Eador. Imperium, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 10% launch discount and the additional 15% loyalty discount will last until February 3, 6:30PM UTC.

Woolytoes: Nope! Not buying it. They should fix the bugs in the two previous "games" first.
I'm not aguing about Eador: Masters of the Broken World, but I've spent a lot of time with Eador: Genesis and I haven't seen a single bug.

Wishlisted for now, but I'm seriously tempted. If it's only half as good as the first game, it's well wotrth the money.
Since Genesis is still better than MotBW, I think I'll skip this one for now.

I've tried giving MotBW a chance, but after several "second chances" I've returned to Genesis. It just works, has a better interface, mods such as New Horizons, and the 2D graphics ain't bad. Other than the need to manage saves with an external file manager, and the lack of animations, it just felt more enjoyable and less frustrating to play than MotBW.

So yeah, unless SnowBird somehow restores my faith in their ability to make a remake NOT-WORSE than the remade game, I'm skipping this one. At least until it's on a major discount.

Hmmm, comments so far doesn´t sound like Motbw got fixed already...
...I still have the feeling that they should have better stayed in 2D. They do not seem to have the budget to create a well-working and good looking game in a 3D-engine.
high rated
Just a quick FYI to folks who rightfully enjoy(ed) Eador:Genesis.

The author of the original sold Snowbird Studios to a third party. Anything released afterwards comes from different people. From what I heard, they did not even buy the source code of Genesis, which contributed to the cluster...bug that the aptly named Masters of the Broken World ended up being.

Which game is still far from fixed. As is the case with (Mount & Blade:) "Caribbean!" - or the now-titled "Blood & Glory: Caribbean" since they changed the title to escape the overwhelmingly negative reviews the initial release received.

Maybe they genuinely want to make great games, but their track record so far is... eeh.

Old Eador best Eador. Seriously, do yourself a favor and grab Eador:Genesis. That game is still fan-strategizering-tastic.

Thanks for the info, did not know this.
Looks interesting. Wishlisted for now.
As others have said, im not going to buy this one until they fix some bugs in the previous one.
Il wishlist it to keeep an eye on it though.
Eador: Masters of the Broken World is unplayable so I don't see any point to spending money on dlc for it... FIX the game first!
Access violation errors everywhere.
Not really important, but is the game called Eador: Imperium (like in the news) or Eador. Imperium (like on the product page) or Eador Imperium (like in the trailer)?
Those screenshots are colorful, but they don't tell me bollocks about how the game actually functions. Eador Genesis actually gives me an idea of what kind of UI and functionality to expect.
they needed quite a time to make the sequel to Genesis.
after reading all these posts, maybe the wiser course is to wait and see how this turns out before spending money on it.
Another Eador game? No Thanks! The Developers should fix the bugs in Eador: Masters of the Broken World instead of releasing a new game.

I quoted some of the replies, to show the devs dont seem to read any suggestions before releasing a new game.
Sad thing is this is very common, there are many users in various fora complaining devs dont seem to fix their bug but only release new games by the dozen, why should we want to buy new games probably containing tons of bugs again (which arent likely to be fixed aswell) if the old one(s) arent fixed?

i have the old one and tbh i dont like the new game that came after genesis, seems devs like eyecandy too much , i also dont like the new engine / graphics they used on the Eador. Masters of the Broken World , i know new technology is available and the fact that they can create more and better engines but that doesnt mean the game will be any good.

i also read the reviews and a game broken by bugs is not exactly what we need, so its kind suprising they developed another one based on the broken previous game, this also shows they dont seem care to fix the broken game first before releasing an new one.

It looks like they just want a 'new toy' and like kids do they abandon their old toys and play with the new ones, which is not bad cause i did it aswell when i was a kid, but as people grow up you start to appreciate the old(er) things in life this goes for games aswell.
