Better get ready – because DYSMANTLE brings in an amazing DLC, DYSMANTLE: Doomsday, launching with a -10% launch discount! That’s not all though; for the occasion, the base game receives a -35% discount! Hurry up, the offer ends on May 24th, 1 PM UTC!

DYSMANTLE is a survival RPG set in a captivating open world. Emerging from your long-term refuge, you’ll be greeted by a new, yet hauntingly familiar environment – once bustling with life, now standing silent and devoid of human presence. In its place, despicable and malevolent creatures roam unhinged. The forces of nature have claimed dominion over this realm, painting a vivid portrait of a changed landscape. However, brace yourself, for this world is on the precipice of descending into further chaos and darkness.

With the DYSMANTLE: Doomsday DLC though, you'll be able to discover a whole new open world map, new main questline and numerous side quests to complete, brand new puzzles, tools, wearables, trinkets, and even more!

Now on GOG!
How did I miss this when it launched? The main game ticks many of the right boxes in my "interesting enough to have it on wishlist" test.

And a little nitpick. While the creatures probably ARE unhinged, I think it would be better if they roamed unhindered.

Into the forum (and wishlist) you go.

I had this wishlisted for a decent amount of time but reports of grind and inventory drop on death and respawning mobs after saving put me (and the game) off. I think doing something with towers gets rid of respawns and you mostly drop basic mats that can be found everywhere, but a simple 'no enemy respawns' and 'no invenory drop on death' toggle is what I had in mind. the more options the better.
Nice! Dysmantle was my favourite game from last year. The new DLC is an instabuy.

There's a sort of reason for the respawns though. It would make no sense, gameplay wise, to have a toggle for this. Drop maybe, but again, it isn't that much of a hassle once you get a hang out of it. It should't put you off from the game.

There's grinding yes, but again, I believe it fully comes with the game. There's a real pleasure in dysmantling stuff. Also, most of the grind is there if you *actually* want to grind. You can stick to the minimum.

As for the the expansion, it was instabuy for me as well. My wife and I have poured countless hours in the game already, and the devs deserve our money.

the reason I want respawns off is because I don't like killing the same shit over and over just to get from a to b and want to save when I want without getting punished for it. there might be an in-game reason or explanation but I don't care about that, it's a game, give me options so I can play the way I want, or don't and I won't. in this case it's the latter.
It's really not an issue. It's not like Diablo where you have to wade through hordes of enemies; you can generally just avoid monsters you don't want to fight. Plus there's fast travel, so you just bypass everything between a and b anyway.
I know the game isn't that bad, but I still chuckled reading "DYSMANTLE" so edgy it's silly.

By that logic, anything could go : no ammo in FPS games, no holes in platformers, no puzzles in point'n clicks... at some point, stuff can't be an option. You're putting way more into this non-issue than you think it deserves.
Looks like GOG messed up again, and isn't listing Doomsday as being Mac-compatible even though it is. You'd think if a download is available for a platform it would be automatically reflected on the store. (Then again, if you know GOG maybe you wouldn't think that....)
