Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition, the definitive package for the open-world, free-running zombie survival sensation, is now available DRM-free on GOG.com with GOG Galaxy support for multiplayer, achievements and leaderboards, and a 17% launch discount.

As the light is dying, so are your chances of survival. A mysterious outbreak has turned a city's population into running, flesh-eating killers who grow severely more aggressive at night. You are also turned into a runner when your mission to retrieve some sensitive documents from the hopelessly infested city of Harran goes awry. Some people speak of a cure, some worship an aloof, self-proclaimed savior, and others fight each other for supplies or territory control. But all of them have one thing in common: they are constantly on the run.

Master the flow of your swift parkour moves and your weapon-wielding skills in order to stay alive. During the day the infected are less energetic, relying on their numbers to gang-up on you before you can scale the nearby building, overrun them with a buggy, or club them to death with your makeshift destructible weapons. But when darkness falls, the tables are turned: your enemies grow stronger, bolder, and terrifyingly more agile while unspeakable horrors crawl out of their daytime hibernation. Don't get followed or you may not live to see daybreak ever again.

Outmaneuver the flesh-eating hordes and escape your nocturnal pursuers before the Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition wanes completely, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 17% launch discount will last until March 23, 1:59 PM GMT.

The game is not available for purchase in Germany. There are legal restrictions that are beyond our control, and we're very sorry for the inconvenience.

Does the game worth buying just for the Singleplayer?
I barely use Online-Multiplayer because of my bad internet connection.

Does anyone know how long is the solo campaign?
Umm.. I spent 36 days with it and haven't really scratched the surface yet probably about 5 years long I.R.L.

chriss1418: Nice release. Instand buy.

The game is hard to get in Germany. Not listed on Steam, not even on Amazon.de.
Buying the game in Germany is easy as example Drogerie Müller has it in stock you only need to ask for it. Besides that nearly every videogamestore (exception is Gamestop they don't sell indexed and unrated games even if it is totally legal) in Germany can order this game or has it in stock.

If publishers regionlock their games for Germany they are only dumb nothing else.As example I can go to a local store and buy Sleeping Dogs:Definitive Edition for XBox One and PS4 without a problem. For PC I could do the same but Square Enix regionlocked the game via Steam a decision which was not necessary at all because it is not required by any law and the game can be sold anyway totally legal. Basically the locked themselves out for no reason.

Regarding Dying Light:
The game itself is good but the side missions are a bit boring after some time. The DLC the Following is better than the main game.

catpower1980: mmmm, I think I remember that's one of the few settings I didn't change as the beginning of Dying Light was inside a building (thus, it shouldn't have drawn further than the interior walls). Anyway, I'm currently downloading the demo of The Following so I'll try to tweak every possible parameters to death :o)

fr33kSh0w2012: The Framerate Issues have gotten better! I play this on my 20th anniversary edition Pentium g3258 and it runs fine!
I played the demo this afternoon and yeah apparently it was a bit smoother than before (the demo starts straight in the middle of the city instead of following the storyline) but as it's very action-driven, I just dropped down the resolution to have very fluid movement as the camera/character goes in every direction :)

Matruchus: Enhanced Edition for Linux is available since 9th of february 2016 on Steam. Otherwise Dying Light before the Enhanced Edition had linux version on Steam since 27th January 2015.
Another one bites the dust:
This is, of course, going to include games that we sell which already have Linux clients...

I finished the main game and the Following in 42 hrs. This also includes various sidequests and some sightseeing.

Yikes this title is mega expensive ! ouch !

Is there a DRM free demo I can look at ? Everything I found says awful Steam.
Wow, very surprised that this got on GOG.
Another Win + Linux game on Steam, released as Windows only on GOG.

This place used to be great for buying games, no DRM bullshit, no clients and a company that is actually ran by human beings. What does it look like now(?):

- Barely anymore communication within the community.
- Great games being rejected without a good reason, instead devs get a generic reply.
- The Galaxy client isn't what it seems and it's really starting to look a lot like Steam.
- Missing Mac/Linux versions of games without a valid reason.

I've read other comments on this thread that it could be Galaxy itself withholding the Linux release and if this is the case, I doubt GOG will be men enough and tell this to our face, because it will smell like hot damn DRM.

If this is GOG's way of doing things, then I doubt my library will become bigger anytime soon.

No, the Buggy control wasn't my favorite part of the game also I don't like racing games in general. I traveled on foot mainly.
so I see it isn't (yet) regionally priced ...

Yes, because Galaxy is required for multiplayer is totally a DRM...

Not.

Yeah comparing a beta software to steam... You seem to be one who knows what he is talking about -.-"
It's not like Galaxy is in beta and missing major features.

No Mac/Linux version for a game with MP is a pretty obvious because there is no Mac/Linux version of Galaxy which is needed for MP since no big company nowadays wants to release their MP games without DRM protection.

Matruchus: I don't know it just seems to me that gog dropped support for Linux.
I've been thinking the same thing. I'm not buying if an available Linux version is missing. Well, I might buy if something I really want drops to a ridiculously low price. Take this title for example... Without a Linux version I may consider a purchase after it drops to $20 and goes on sale for 75% off. My backlog is huge, so I no longer feel the need to buy games right away unless there is a particular reason I decide to.
