The final version of the best-selling survival horror is here and available with a 70% discount until 27th June 2022, 10 PM UTC. Dying Light: Definitive Edition includes all the content present in Platinum Edition and adds some cool new items and other features.

All the owners of Dying Light: Platinum Edition will receive a free update to the Definitive Edition. This will give them access to the mentioned above new features.

Great, GOG doesn't allow to buy the game to those of us who live in Japan but sells Alien: Isolation. Steam bans Alien: Isolation but let us buy Dying Light. Fucking Hell!!

Unfortunately not. As long as it remains profitable, why would it stop? Creating new stuff is expensive when you can just do almost the same thing over and over and re-bumping the price. Look at Bethesda. Wondering what edition of Skyrim we're gonna get this year. "Absolutely final, trust us It Just Works buy this again" Edition.

SCPM: Nope, it's still under the same old Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition entry. I was missing a ton of DLCs so I figured it's cheaper and less hassle just to buy the Definitive Edition.

Me too, lesson learned. Next game I don't buy until the end and for a very low price. These people are not to be trusted.

I got Call of Juarez for free on Steam. I want to have it drm-free so I whislisted here too. Now they're goint to pay for it, because I'm going to play it for free on Steam. If they want to go the hard way, they should know that whoever sells software always loses.

So for example, if Dying Light 2 ever comes to GOG, no point buying it until 5+ years have passed since it first came to GOG, lest I get ripped off again like I did with Dying Light 1, for being a sucker who bought it "too early."

So contrary to all the people saying stuff like "thanks for the free upgrade" since they bought the less-of-a-ripoff Edition by way of how they came to the game later, I say: this is a very bad look for Techland which makes me respect them much less and also makes me be much less inclined to buy their games again the future.

Is it too much to ask, that those of us who have supported the game all along, buying nearly everything separately, could qualify for a cheap Update DLC? I mean come on, what do we have to do to earn some respect and consideration?

I see some Bundles listed that don't appear to be available here yet (Western and Winter), and there is mention of owners of the Definitive Edition getting all future DLCs for free.

I've spent something like triple what the current Definitive Version is now selling for on sale ... maybe more, for the Enhanced Edition and DLCs.

P.S. And why has the Soundtrack become a separate DLC, when size and content is identical to the existing one?

MaxFulvus: It is showed as included in the DE, but it is free at the moment.
The Harran Military Rifle is not the same and isn't included in the Harran Tactical Bundle. It's a separate add-on.

Outsiders: GOG, you want to make this right... Either give the Platinum to all Dying Light owners or charge a $3.00 upgrade for the Dying Light: – Definitive Edition, which then gets us the upgrade to the Platinum Edition for all the extra goodies.

StingingVelvet: What are these goodies anyway? They seem like silly promotional items and whatnot, nothing of real substance. If there's missions I am missing out on with the "definitive edition" though, it would be good to know.

According to Techland, the Definitive Edition comes with 26 bundles and the upgrade to Platinum adds 5 new bundles.

You are being downvoted, but you are telling the truth. Looks like they are just trying to lure in new players while ignoring those of us who got the game early. Buy the game again if you want the missing DLC's for cheap or get ready an excel file to account for each of them and spend more money on what you don't have.

And let's not forget that they didn't released several (free) DLC's here in GoG until a year after they were released on Steam, all it seems to make both versions even so they could release the "definitive" edition. I've totally learnt my lesson with Techland.

Thanks for the free upgrade, I was wondering during one of the last sales if we can expect the remaining DLCs to be added to the Platinum Edition in the near future.

- Astronaut bundle
- Dieselpunk bundle
- Savvy Gamer bundle
- Snow Ops bundle
- Van Crane bundle

The store page also mentions Wild West and Winter bundle, but I don't see any specific download.
