LIFEIST: Still no Mac version? Why?
Who tricked you into buying a Mac instead of a PC?

LIFEIST: Still no Mac version? Why?
Why the hell would you buy a Mac if you want to be a gamer?

MysterD: Would love that - but that's probably a question for publisher Deep Silver too, not just Techland.

tfishell: I think the holdup is porting decade old multiplayer code to Galaxy, too much work for the payoff. I'd be fine with multiplayer gutted but many people might be displeased.
Same. A lot of times, I buy games from GOG for the single-player factor, offline factor, and DRM-FREE factors.

I've already got Multi-Player support in the Steam-version, which I don't even use there.

But, it would make sense for parity purposes for Dead Island OG and Riptide stand-alone expansion - Original versions, Definitive Editions Remasters, or both - to get Galaxy support...b/c I would guess many would want that option to also play it with others.

In an ideal world: all MP games would:
1. Support all the major services (Steamworks, EoS, Galaxy, PSN, Xbox, etc) with Crossplay (which you could enable and disable)
2. AND would especially have LAN/TCP-IP since those "major services" won't be around forever.

Sure, Steam, Sony, Microsoft are going to be around for likely a long time - but, it likely won't be forever. LAN/TCP-IP is always around when used, dependent on the player-base themselves.

No one will force you to buy.

THIS. I want it here on GOG too.

I don't want all games to be stuck in DRM'd gardens forever. I'm all for preserving games and them going DRM-FREE to GOG.
