This is how a new age of epic fantasy RPGs was spawned.

Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition, which marked the triumphant resurgence of epic party-based RPGs, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 60% launch discount.

Some RPG enthusiasts enjoy customizing their character and carefully picking their travelling companions based on both their personalities and combat skills. Some enjoy dark, engaging narratives with branching elements and dozens of side-quests. Others just want to hack at giant dragons and demonic hordes. Dragon Age: Origins walked the extra mile, also letting players shape their legendary Grey Warden by playing through their unique backstory. The whirlwind of wild magic, gruesome battles, complex politics, tough moral choices, and dramatic moments that ensued helped cement this epic adventure as one of the most influential ones in recent memory. And that was even before that night when Morrigan approached you with a certain offer...

Gather your party of memorable NPCs and venture against the tides of darkness in Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 60% launch discount will last until July 21, 12:59 PM UTC.

deonast: I'd buy Mass effect 3, even on steam (to complete the series) except they don't sell it on steam, so that won't be getting to GOG any time soon. I know there is controversy over the ending, but if I buy games in a series, I like to be able to buy the lot.
Bioware released Director's Cut that improved the ending - adding scenes with the fleets of the races you helped in main questline and then Slideshow and narration about the future of your crewmates that are alive(but werent part of your ME3 crew) . So its old news. On the other hand there are 2 ME2 DLCs that help to connect the dots between ME2 and ME3.

Thiev: It contains all DLCs and all items included in Promotional Items Pack on Origin.
The problem is that this DLC is not inside the Promotional Items Pack... There are two DLC that I know are not present in that one:
Blood Dragon Armor and Collector's Edition. I was wondering if somehow GOG got ahold of those too.

Can't wait for tomorrow, the release on gog is a good excuse to start a new playthrough. :D
DA:O DRM-free? YES! The true spiritual successor to BG imo. It's not without flaws, but it's a great game. Glad to see it come to GOG.

Fond memories: I scheduled vacation from work for the week this was released. So much gaming that week... ;)
I usually wait for higher discounts and lower prices, but this game is so tempting for only 9$.. O_o'

BAZ: Is DA:O-UE truely 100% drm-free?
NO connect to EA servers
NO register EA account
NO register cd-key on EA
NO 'missing' DLC which we need to download from EA servers

The steam 'UE' is missing at least a dozen dlc.
ALL of the dlc should come in the gog installer.
hmm, bough it without thinking - now that you mentioned it...
downloading now 10MB/s - we will know soon (unless someone from gog answer these questions earlier...)

Nope, the Ultimate Edition didn't cut out the deep roads. :P
Fuck...

You just had to do it, didn't you GOG ?

It's sunny out here GOG, 33º, there's like a million, mostly, naked girls walking around the city.

Why do you hate me GOG ? Why ?

Oh, very well, i yield.

Hate? We're just trying to protect you from sunburn >.>
In my opinion the first is still the best. Very glad to see it in the realm of DRM free. So much fun awaits those who have yet to experience it. Instabuy!

Aww, thank you so much for looking out for me ;)
Thank you, GOG! Instabuying with pleasure.

And please, GOG, would you try to negotiate a deal with EA (and others if any) to add the Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker to your movie catalogue?

The game page says Blood Dragon Armor is included:

Nine Content Packs
The Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep, Return to Ostagar, Feastday Gifts, Lailana's Song, The Darkspawn Chronicles, The Golems of Amgarrak, Witch Hunt, and the Blood Dragon Armor.
Not sure about the three Collector's Edition items (Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes, Bergen's Honor, and Final Reason); I can't download right now to check.

@GOG: That should be Leliana's Song... not Lailana's Song. :P

The option to log into your Bioware Acc still exist but you have all the content available right off the bat so you dont need it. Only missing content is the Collector's Edition items.
