A true RPG design achievement!

Divinity: Original Sin, the epic-scaled RPG from Larian Studios, very modern but also true to the best traditions of computer role playing games design with its isometric view, story-driven gameplay, and top-notch turn-based combat mechanics, is available for Windows and Mac OS X, DRM-Free on GOG.com! You can also enrich your experience with the Source Hunter DLC, that comes with two unique in-game items, a digital artbook, design documents and a full original soundtrack.

Divinity: Original Sin is the old-school role-playing title you've been dreaming about. If you were ever imagining how the legendary classics like Baldur's Gate would look and feel like, were they developed today, this is your answer! Larian Studios managed to make good on all of their promises of classic gameplay, extensive world, gripping storyline, and flexible system paired with high production value of contemporary double-A titles. With up to a hundred hours of playtime needed to beat the game with all of its branching stories and tons of optional quests the game can prove to be everything you want it to be, and more! It also takes what's best after the modern games: rich and vivid 3D graphics, an extensive item crafting system, and a finely balanced multi-player mode. A perfect mix of classic and new RPG design, if we ever saw one.

Set out to explore the fantastic colorful realm created by Larian Studios, and make a new home for yourself in the vibrant world of Divinity: Original Sin (or even grab some extra Source Hunter DLC gear), on GOG.com. The price of the game varies from region to region, but don't be alarmed! Following the GOG.com tradition we're offering a Fair Price Package with this title, so everyone who is adversely affected by the pricing plan will be compensated with gift-codes (you will find yours in your order confirmation email).

NOTE:
The version of the game offered here comes with the full single-player campaign, but currently supports only LAN/DirectIP multiplayer modes, with on-line multiplayer features coming as a later update, powered by GOG Galaxy, our DRM-Free online gaming platform. Thank you for your patience!

Tarnicus: Very kind of you. Not redeemed as I have all Divinity games :) If someone only has 1 of the games and uses that code, then the code is still valid to redeem the other game(unlike on Steam where a bulk code goes to waste if you have one or more of the games already).
Yes I like the way GOG does it, I dislike also how on steam if you buy a bundle that has games you have there is no option to buy some of the games for less or gifts for some of the bundle. GOG's bundle prices for some games in a series is a nice incentive.

Of course these are not major problems if I would just stop buying so many games.

Kunovski: ... but not only it's funny in single as well (and helps your multiple personality disorder :)...
avatar
K_1269: Lol! A game catering to multiple personality disorders, now THAT I've got to try ;)

avatar
cw8: The game is great SP, it's built for SP. Coop is also good but not a necessity.
avatar
K_1269: Thanks for the info on the game to both of you! +1 Time to buy it now for me then :)
I put mine on 'loyal', so whatever I say is law, I think. You have the option of No AI, Random and Loyal. This is only adjustable for the first two party-members, not sure how many to come and their AI (Personality) settings.

althrian: If you simply pass on your disc though, the new user won’t be able to install the game unless he/she has a legitimate key on Steam.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Thomas

What a crap situation ... so buying the physical version is worthless if you're planing to resell the product.
I stopped buying games from stores that have steam to activate. I've found that even if you think that might save you bandwidth by having the install files on disc, if often doesn't I tried one game and steam pretty much downloaded the equivalent of the game again to get the updates in.

I'm surprised there is much of a retail market left for PC games, guess maybe for parents to buy games for children when they are not gamers themselves or for special editions with physical goodies.

Hm, this is good to know for future reference! I picked up a gift code for the Larry bundle during the summer sale, so if I give this to someone who eg already has LSL7, when they redeem it, the LSL7 gift is 'lost', but they still get the other Larry games added to their game shelf?

Oh, and +1 to deonast for the Divinity giveaway!

If it's on GOG, no - LSL7 will still remain on the gift code for someone else to redeem.

Can you adjust it for both individually, eg. one Loyal and the other Random?

Btw: For those wondering about the extra codes. I bought the Euro priced version and got a $5.99 and a $9.99 code. Then used the $9.99 code to get the DLC.

Oooh, that's even better, awesome, thanks for confirming that! +1

touched: Judas: The description that TheJadedOne quotes initially should be changed on the game's page to eliminate that confusion. Since DirectIP is an online multiplayer mode, and it says that online multiplayer features later will be powered by GOG Galaxy, it implies that Galaxy will replace DirectIP for online multiplayer support. Inserting the word "additional" in the description would fix it.
avatar
Kunovski: Galaxy will be optional, so how can it replace anything?
I didn't say it would. I said the description should be changed to prevent some people from getting that impression.

Nice! Thanks for the info disi! +1 Looking forward to try around with those settings once that download finishes :)

One can always rely on the friendly people at GOG to step in and provide an answer when one is distracted elsewhere. Cheers HypersomniacLive :) (I got my sleep, from 2pm til 10pm lol)

So you were able to buy a 9.99 EUR DLC with a $9.99 code? That's pretty cool, but it sounds suspiciously like another screw up on GOG's part ...

Oh tell me about it! I've broken my promise not to buy more games for a number of reasons, and I think the most honest reason for continuing to hoard games is that I like it lol. The dopamine rush from grabbing a bargain is just too difficult a drug to refuse! :P

AI settings are the next major content change, as per this article I linked earlier with a interview with Larian on PC Gamer. The brief version - they are introducing 5-6 new personality types!

I agree, sadly I also have this problem with Music and Blu-ray movies and tv shows.
