Might solve a mystery or rewrite history!

Detective Gallo is now available 15% off until June 6, 5pm UTC, DRM-free on GOG.com. The jazzy Soundtrack is included for FREE.

Someone is putting exotic plants in the ground. Not the good way either.
Detective Gallo is paid handsomely to find this floricidal maniac and will not hesitate to apply his particular brand of cynical crime-solving to the case. Eccentric characters and tricky puzzles stand on his way but they should be no match for Gallo's hard-boiled moxie.

FootprintsGames: As "Footprints Games" we are the developer team of the game... so feel free to ask for more details :)
This release is based on AGS engine, but you can change resolution (from 1024x600 to 1920x1080) and launch the game in windowed mode if you want!
This concept ticks all kinds of boxes for me. I just wish there was a Linux version. Is that on the cards, by any chance?
Bit of a missed opportunity to not include elements typical for Giallo and go for a more whimsical, light-hearted tone instead.
Can't say no to a Jazz Noir soundtrack though. The Italian dub ain't too shabby either, from what I've heard so far.

gamesfreak64: That Ducktective looks like a character i've seen in some old WD Donald Duck pockets ... but that might because all ducks might look the same.

I saw the game longtime ago on Steam it was TBA, the game looks like the previous vectorgraphic point a click games
so i guess the way he walks will be 'frame'skipping aswell like Unforeseen Incidents, walking up and down the stairs is more like sliding on and off the stairs.

Anyway i have to check the game out, i guess it will be Unity, 1280x780 ( at minimum i guess without proper downscaling to 1024x768 like the AGS games do ( mostly used by the old wadjeteyegames ( have all games)
A demo will be unlikely so its another jump in the deep end ....
i wonder why its so hard for devs to provide screenshots showing what they used : unity, visionaire or wintermute engines, what the setup options are regarding monitor , cause the wadjeteyegames made with AGS allow you to display it on any screen resolution, while the latest games force you at 1280 x780(800) .....

If this was a 5 buck game i jump in the deep end with clothes on but at current price:

14.99 (listprice) 12.79 sale price

You save 2.20 (15%)

2.40 OFF ANY FUTURE PURCHASE ( i doubt that since there is 15% of so i assume the 2,40 will be more likely 1.20 or less.

??? i guess this game will perform bad on my pc its quite saddevs do not know their own game and what it will run on without frying CPU thats why i stick yo old games like fallout classic they work....but then again no klik play tools existed in the past to develop games: no unity , no player to run games like wintermute and visonaire....
time to go back to old coded games like the good old games had :D

Recommended system requirements - Windows: 7 / 8 / 10
Processor: 2.6 GHz Dual Core CPU
Memory: 3 GB RAM
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4500 Series, Geforce 9400 GT or higher

InkPanther: <grumpy_mode>
Oh how times changed. There was a time on GOG when you could expect a soundtrack and other goodies to be bundled with a game. Now it's a news worthy thing...
</grumpy_mode>
I don't think it's ever been common for new games, though -- that was mostly a thing with older titles where probably nobody (the publishers or GOG) thought anyone would shell out for the soundtrack by itself.

Shadowcat: I just wish there was a Linux version. Is that on the cards, by any chance?
I can't say anything about this specific game, but I've never had trouble running any gog ags games using my distribution-supplied ags interpreter, at least after deleting the almost-always broken supplied acsetup.cfg. Admittedly, the only one I have that claims to be Windows-only is Technobabylon, but I have had issues with the gog-supplied Linux binaries as well, so I always use my system ags. I'd say there's a good chance this game works with a native ags.
Hand illustrated point & click adventure? Fantastic! I just hope the puzzles are good. On to the wishlist it goes.

GOG.com: Release: Detective Gallo + FREE OST
[..] The jazzy Soundtrack is included for FREE.
Sad times when an included soundtrack already is reason enough to create such bold headlines...

Panaias: Hey there devs, it's nice to see your game land here on GOG, I hope it goes well! I will definitely support you sooner or later (backlog clearing operation in progress for now). Can you provide a roughly estimated (average) playthrough duration?
Hi Panaias,

we've estimated approximately 6-8 hours, depending on experience and achievements searching :)
As Texmurphy78 correctly said, we're already working on the porting for Linux, Mac, iOS, PS4 and Switch!
We'll keep you informed thanks to our Facebook page! :)

This was made in AGS?!

I always assumed it could only make pixelly games.

With the new versions of the AGS engine you can realize FullHD games!
