Dogmaus: Well, those were really bad! But seeing the renewed interest for old fmv games and that the Gogliins series is here, maybe there is hope for other Cocktel Vision titles.
Fever_Discordia: Yeah I saw how they are supposed to be pretty terrible after I posted - I had Inca 2 as part of some Sierra compilation with The (Even More) Incredible Machine and some others and I remember it being kind of fun - was a LONG time ago though and maybe I'm confusing it with the original Dune a little?!
I remember why I gave up on it and never got very far though - glaring omission of any kind of save function! I think these days there's an unofficial version of DOS Box that supports save states or something though, right?
I got Inca II bundled with my 486dx Compaq Presario and it was a huge disappointment, of the first one I've only watched a Youtube gameplay skipping here and there, and it is pure cringe. The Incredible Machine games were the coolest thing. Of course, nostalgia makes everything sweeter.
There are DOSBox forks with state saves, DOSBox-x and DOSBox Pure. I have tried one of the two time ago but I had to gave because of the bugs and crashes. Maybe now things are better or I should have checked a compatibility list! Now that you mention it, I should give it another go.
