dudemeister85: If I wanted to work around, I'd buy it on STEAM because their software is so much more attractive than GOG.
What? Games on Steam don't have any problems? That's something new.
People on Steam are constantly asking how to get their games to work. There's constant threat that even games that used to work suddenly stopped working because of some gugs introduced by the new "quickfix" or "update". That's why many people turn off the automatic update thing so their game that they know should work wouldn't suddenly stop working.
Also, the reason why Steam refund work so fast is because they
A) only give you wallet funds and don't actually (in most cases anyway) refund you anything
B) They are so used to refunds that they have automated it - in some countries. In most other countries people have to sue Valve for consumer law violations to get their refund.
You also have to fulfill certain requirements in order to get refund be it at Gog OR Steam. If you fail that then don't expect any refund regardless of the platform.
Don't be shy asking questions. You probably will get your refund but it can take time.
What makes me wonder is that you think that it's easier to ask a refund rather than check your drivers, if your operating system is up do date or if you have all the dependencies installed. It's almost like you don't have any interest playing the game you bought. I'm not saying anything, it's just weird, that's all. I have actually worked in technical support and I know how simple things people can forget sometimes. Including myself. That's why I'm used to test the thing I have trouble with before I go and make myself look stupid for the support. But even then I sometimes end up lookind stupid. Anyway. Good luck to you.
