noir_7: Is anyone an authorized GOG reseller? I've never bought GOG games anywhere else so far just for that reason.
Nope unless you buy directly from the publisher/developer.
IIRC some devs put gog keys in bundles and GOG wasnt really happy with that.

No idea what G2A did to you guys but it's been a great a website to me.

If I did end up buying a dodgy copy of the game then G2A shield will have me covered.

G2A Shield covers literally everything, if its fraudulent = refund/new copy, 100%.

Not sure why you guys are so against it haha, I've bought over 100 games from G2A and only ever had one problem which was my copy of Rocket League turning out to be from a dodgy credit card, a year down the line. I didn't even have G2A Shield on and G2A instantly gave me a new copy.

You guys honestly should consider using G2A it's a lot cheaper than here on GOG for like 80% of the games.

Some people would just rather support the developers and the DRM-free store rather than a shady unauthorised key-reseller. Crazy, I know. Then again you're only slightly less crazy- after all you could just pirate the game for free!

Me rebuying the game at a cheaper price that still brings me back to GOG must still support the developers in some sort of way. I wouldn't be using GOG at all if it didn't have the witcher 3 for way cheaper than steam does. So G2A brought me here, if it hadn't, i'd be on steam.

Must be really fun in his world.
this thread is going downhill fast :P

How does it not though?

The cheaper copy brings +1 members to GOG. If not then I'm going to steam which is -1 for GOG.
That's still support.

Whether the money goes back to GOG we will never know, maybe the seller has bought the keys in bulk from GOG so it doesn't matter where I buy it from, we will never know.

At this point I'm not even sure if I want to come back to GOG as I can see from this thread a lot of people are really snobby about supporting the developers directly. Maybe I'm selfish but I can't be entirely wrong for trying to save money like a normal human would.

It really isn't a fun world when you don't have a lot of money.

I don't think this thread ever had any "downhill" left to go.

In general, no. Witcher 3 seems to be an exception though. The only authorized sellers for its GOG codes that I could find are Humble Bundle, the Ubisoft store and Origin.

I'm sure MC Escher would beg to differ.
Anyone able to help?

Kazadox: Anyone able to help?
But we replied to you already..
You can only wait for support (from monday), but don't hope too much.
We users can't do much else.

phaolo: Well, now it's the weekend, so the chanches for a reply are quite low.
Btw G2A isn't an authorized GOG reseller, so you risk paying for the game and then seeing your game removed from your account..
It's the weekend. :D You were already answered if you had checked all replies.

Anyway, I get why people are not thrilled about you, but they still did help you by offering good advice - many of them pointed out the G2A keys are likely to be revoked, so don't think people are being nasty to you.

If they were, they'd be insulting you or just ignoring this thread, instead they offered good advice as people's keys from that site have been revoked here as well.

And the reason why people dislike G2A and are not happy about you wanting to buy from there? It's not only about supporting the devs directly, but moreover and most importanly, that G2A most likely has stolen or cheap keys from abroad, like Russia, so yes, if the key in Russia costs half the price (which is usually does), which is why the seller can offer it to you, then the devs do lose out on it, since they don't get for that key as much as when bought here. I hope you understand now why people are salty about G2A here. Everyone tries to save money, but buying from sites that sell stolen or resold keys is not looked well upon, despite them having good service by providing refunds for revoked keys with the Shield. And if you don't believe me, ask yourself this - why is the G2A Shield optional and mandatory? If the keys were legit and were revoked, any refutable seller would provide a new key or a refund automatically, like Steam or GOG does.

People here don't mind when others try to save money. They mind when someone willingly buys keys from a site that's well-known for having shady, if not outright stolen keys. It's like buying goods from a fence in real life, except it's a digital fence. Not sure if any money goes to the devs at all, that's the problem. (Don't confuse them with GOG, I mean the game's developers.)

Your request is basically "please give me my money back, so I can give it to someone who is breaking your TOS". Support shouldn't keep you waiting for so long, but there's no way their answer won't be "NO".
