There's some irony. However, I get this feeling it may not work as they'd planned. People may hack it like the PS3 or bypass it all together by acquiring a different OS and a blank hard drive.

The machine in the meme is unrelated but it's just an enclosed PC like they are often around in museums and libraries and have some mechanisms to prohibit free use, so in a way it's a symbolic picture in many ways... nevermind, whatever.

I actually heard North and South Korea aren't very different in terms of choice of hobbies. There seems to be a preference for real-time management among people of both countries. In South Korea it manifests in Starcraft 2 and in the North, the only person who has enough money for hobbies plays Starcraft 2 IRL. Then again, I heard this from a meme so its not probably 100% accurate.

At least, its name (Red Star) sounds cool. xD
