Hi guys. I posted about this in the Holy Potatoes forum, but others may be interested in case other games are affected. The Holy Potatoes We're in Space game has been found to contain spyware. Currently, the Steam version has this patched out, but I believe the GOG version is still affected if the version numbers are any indication. I contacted the dev to request them to patch the GOG version, as I own it.
Here is my original post.
The Steam version of this game was discovered to contain the Red Shell analytics software. I am not certain of the status of the GOG version.
EDIT: The current version of the game on GOG is 1.1.0 and therefore probably DOES contain the spyware. Wait until the game has been patched to install.

This software is according to the developer supposed to be used to tell developers when a clicked link on an advertisement for the game leads to a sale. They can view stats such as % sales from a particular link, etc. Unfortunately, the software has the potential to collect personally-identifiable information and much more sensitive information from your computer, and the only protection the user has from this is a promise from the dev. So, it is spyware. Since the analytics software is not opt-in, it is also currently illegal in most of Europe.
The dev for Holy Potatoes has announced their intention to remove redshell and include opt-in analytics instead:
