Maxvorstadt: At least you have to grind for th gems (or what they are called in this game) and, of course, for having a high enuff level to have a chance in many fights.

WBGhiro: I fnished both games by just clearing every area once, and had septims to spare at the end of it.

And as I said, grindng is discouraged since as soon as you get a level advantage enemies give a lot less XP.
Me too. I even avoided the combats at the end when I had already cleared each zone once. The game even allows you to replay a fight you just lost with the difficulty scaled down a notch or two. It allowed me to get past a few difficult bossfight without resorting to grinding.
Although I got my ass handed to me in the fights I was "supposed to lose" (but it was sooooo sweet to encounter these guys again at the end of the second game to get my revenge ^^). I know a guy who wanted to win those optional fights and max out his levels, and he grinded for 120hours in the first game (while I finished it in 25 hours, and most of it was talking to people)

In fact, running everywhere and talking to everyone after each story mission could be seen as a form of grind, and if it's the case, I grinded like there was no tomorrow. I just HAD to know what happened to these people ^^

micktiegs_8: Believe it or not, I've been playing Clicker Heroes of all games available.
I've kind of developed an interest for character grinding, as odd as it sounds; so, I was wondering if there's anything *here* that may do something similar in its own way.

The only games I know of here are the three Agarest: Generation of War titles. However, this doesn't mean the game has to have character levels for grinding. I can settle for repetitious looting for better and better goods as well.

Didn't want to mark this as a question, because there could be a variety of agreeable views.

This game is quite funny. I like the fact that there are things to purchase with your cookies, though their only function seems to be to get you more cookies.
Most of MMOs.

Guild Wars 2 is free and there's ton of stuff to grind - titles, legendary weapons, armors, pets, pvp stuff... oh, and dailies!

Yeah, I agree. This is exactly how World of Warcraft and The Old Republic play, so it's pretty much a matter of choosing what MMO environment/lore you prefer.
