HI I have an old PC without a dedicated graphics card. It was built in 2009, it think, and it has a 'Intel Core2 Duo E6550 @2.33GHz ' processor and an Intel Q35 Express Chipset display adapter. I think that's an integrated graphics chip.

I know it can play Puzzle Quest which was released in 2010 but it's not a very intensive 3D game.

So it's hard to tell how far back I have to go to safely run a game on my system. I discovered GoG looking for the Syberia point and click games. I have mainly been gaming on consoles since I was a kid.

So I was wondering what older or low requirement games I should get? Which I would assume would be pre-2010 at least. But I don't mind much older games.

Also, I can only play games that I can point and click with the Stylus. (health reasons, long story)

I've got Monkey Island and Space Quest on my wish list so far.

I was also looking for Balder's Gate but the original is gone.

Any old school 'essential' suggestions?

You can purchase the new baldurs gate to get the old one. Or friend me and send me a message. I think I have a code for baldurs gate the original.

Welcome Robrob707! Nice to see another Canadian joining GOG. I see you already have been given some good direction from others. As for point and clicks there are several great games and series. Broken Sword, Gabriel Knight, The Longest Journey. I am not sure about playing them with a Stylus.

Intel integrated graphics can surprise you in how much it still CAN'T run, which is a bummer. I'd suggest trying the old Infinity Engine games if open world(ish) RPGs are your thing, and some Lucasarts adventure games like Sam & Max.

Painkiller and Serious Sam can run on a toaster if you like FPS
If you like Defenders Quest, I can recommend Gem Craft: Chasing Shadows and Immortal Defense, they are not on gOg, though

Other than that - what kind of games do you like?

FTL should work with a stylus and I am running it on even weaker Intel integrated.

Considering this was never meant to be used for gaming per se, since it was purely meant for embedded systems... As far as I could find on Google, even back when it was new it was severely outdated/underpowered. I'd be surprised you'd get much of anything to run even from the mid-2000s if it's anything other than 2D.

Point and click with a stylus, runs on a low-power PC... if you like strategy / 4X games then how about Master of Orion? As far as I remember, the only mandatory keyboard input was to type in your player name. Master of Orion 2, maybe, but I prefer the first one. Either way, they come together in one package.

I think Master of Magic would work, as well.

Plenty to choose from, depends on what genres you like. Pretty much anything released before 2005 I guess..

Ok my bad I didn't scroll down enough to see "system requirements". But even on games were it says my CPU and RAM is enough it's hard to tell on older games if my "Intel Q35 Express Chipset " will run it, a few examples:

Stardew Valley,is ok a new game but 2d:

Processor: 2 Ghz
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: 256 MB video memory, shader model 3.0+

Or an older game when it says something like:

Baldur's Gate EE

Processor: 1 GHZ
Memory: 512 MB RAM
Graphics: OpenGL 2.0 compatible

See that sounds really low spec but I don't know if my chip is good enough for the graphics parts.

One more :

STAR WARS: Knights of the Old Republic

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 1.8 Ghz or AMD Athlon 1.8 GHz
Memory: 1 GB
Graphics:128 MB with Hardware T&L
DirectX®: Directx 9.0b or better

That's another one were the everything else looks low enough but am not sure by the graphics part. Also it says 'keyboard and mouse' but I'm guessing this isn't a game I can move around in with the mouse right?

Sorry to hear about your health issues; while you'll miss some good old games that i guess can't be played with a stylus, there are a lot that suits your stylus; i definitely recommend Alpha Centauri as a turn based strategy game. As for adventure games, make sure you won't miss any of the Wadjet Eye games that you find interesting (i enjoyed Technobabylon, Primordia, Gemini Rue, Resonance & Blackwell a lot). cRPGs? Take a look in what Spiderweb Games has to offer, very good games and i heard they run in toasters too. Also, UnderRail!
