About missing promos, you should give page like this a try, you don't need to register or anything. Just bookmark it and check it every now and then.
Seems a trustworthy source of info, there's even some regular goglins there, updating the subreddit.

Yeah, those emails are not too useful so better turn them off in the settings and check the site at least once a week instead.
