i have found all the link books to the other worlds but when i went to Channelwood i found the Myst Link Book but can't find the blue and pink pages; and again when i went to Rock Ages, i guess it's named, i find the pages but not a way out or see the symbols anywhere that are needed to get out! I just want to know if anyone else has issues with real Myst.

Yes, the game works. I'm afraid you just haven't solved it yet. There are indeed red and blue pages in all of the Ages and there's definitely a way out of the Rock Age (I'm not sure whether you're talking about the Stoneship or Selenetic Age but both have exits so it doesn't really matter).

It's up to you whether to look at a walkthrough really.

What the others said....also protip: Collect and use all but the last red and blue pages before going for the best ending as that way you can see all the extra "cutscenes"(more like book scenes) and try all the endings at once, one at a time.
