THIS THREAD IS NOW A GOOD EXAMPLE HOW MESSY AND STONEAGED GOG FORUM FEATURES ARE!
- "thx" for such crap xP

(Why it havent worked the first&second time?) - "had tryed to post something about it 2 times! - issue identified, stupid forum software that has no exception handlers implemented! xP"

Kay, to the issue:
I have searched the "Forum FAQ" about this, but haven't found any information about wich codes are allowed beside the (very few) WYSIWYG elements - so are there other (hidden) codes are allowed?
Like [ spoiler ]'s, [ code ]-Tags, [ Quote ]'s, Colors and other common text formatting stuff?

Edit:
Preview feature required! xP - even if im sadly have forgotten to use it, since Steam havent implemented one xD
Edit2:
my tags messed up the whole thread... HOW!? o.O
i mean every post should be handled for itself (codeside) and not as part of the thread! xP
(but strange handling, cant investigate how it works...)
Edit3:
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNND - still broken -.-#
but then its not me anymore who causing trouble right? xP
Edit4:
i think its time to say "f*** y**" back!^^ - kinda... (befor its misleading, i mean the stupid forum and maybe not its lazy creators/maintainers ;-) - clear enough?)

You need 10 rep points (or something around 10, I'm not entirely sure at the moment) to be able to post links. And your attached pictures are visible to everyone, you don't have to provide links. :)
The quote, url, i, b and u tags work on here. Although it seems that closing quote tags without opening them is causes trouble.

I made an extension here that adds previews and the spoiler tag, among other things.
Wh-...what did you do?!

Let's see...

Edit: Wait, why did that successfully post?

Edit 2: Let's try attaching an (empty) image. Can I click on the attachment to view it?

ehm... - and how that is suposed to work???
seriously - does the script hack the forum or what? xD
(and if not, can only ppl with your script see those added stuff?)

It adds extra javascript after the page loads to add quite a lot of new functionality.

The only custom tag I add is the spoiler tag. Others will need to have the script installed to see it work, so I have extra whitespace added for their benefit so that they can know to watch out for a spoiler even without the script. It looks like

[spoiler]

this

[/spoiler]
Odd.

When I made my earlier post in this topic, I could view its (empty) attachment, but not the attachment to the original post. Now, it's the other way around.

How strange.

ah okay, pretty logic when i think again about it xD

so rollback (dump) explained:
your script reads the html code and searches for defined tags like [*spoiler*] and "hooks" itself between the html document and the browser to add some code that translate that tags into the actual optical appearance :)
(forgot the term used for the "parser" in browsers...)

its so long ago that i write such stuff for myself xD (no time anymore)
but mostly style sheets - no scripts^^
