It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

So I downloaded and installed Gog Galaxy and when i tried to make my other games show up
on the list the program keeps saying couldn't find any games. Does this mean I'm going to have
re-download all my games to get them to show up in the program? I have DATA limit now my ISP
just started it kinda sucks. Also When i tried to download Alone in the Dark a recent paid for game
with my web browser so i could save the game to disc it keep telling me error when it finished downloading.
I know when i use Gog Galaxy it doesn't seem to save the downloaded games.

Also I do have gog.com down loader but that never seems to take over the download anymore.

You need to specify the folder where the other pre-galaxy games were installed. You can do it under settings. Some games don't get to show up if they were installed using old installers.

You can download installers through Galaxy. Go to game page, under other options should be goodies or backup or whatever and there you can download the installer. Someone else can walk you through, I don't have Galaxy installed on my work laptop.

Games installed without .info manifest files you need to import manually:

go to game page, click on more -> manage installation -> import folder and head to the folder with installed game.
like on the picture

edit:
As for old downloader links, you may either use Adalia Fundamentals script, simply click on more -> gog downloader links in your game library or even use Galaxy to download installers, you may find them under extras: more -> extra downloads
