Could you explain me - step by step - what should I do to install DarkPlaces into my GOG Quake: The Offering? I'm not an expert in this area... :-(
1. Download latest stable/official DarkPlaces release
2. Unpack downloaded archive to folder with Quake installed
3. Run the game with darkplaces.exe

edit:
If you want to start DarkPlaces through Galaxy, check this guide by the end of my post you will find Quake II with mods example, before the game was available on GoG.. To achieve that you're going to need edit goggame-1440166133.info file you will find in your Quake The Offering folder.

Thank you, I will try it. For me it is this file (I have Windows 10 Professional 64 bit) ? :

DarkPlaces engine Windows 64 OpenGL build 20140513 darkplaces 64bit executables for Windows Vista/7 x64 only, and source code compatible with Windows/MacOSX/Linux/Solaris/FreeBSD/NetBSD/OpenBSD

And when I unpack downloaded file to folder with Quake installed - is it possible to play mission packs too ?

Since I don't have Quake: The Offering nor win10 I have no clue to be honest ; )
64bit executable should work though.. Same with mission packs, should work but perhaps someone with the mod installed will give you a better answer.

edit:
I believe you're going to need DarkPlaces mod build 20130301 as well.

But I don't see darkplaces.exe in DarkPlaces mod build 20130301... :-( Please, if you could be so kind - explain me exactly what and where should I unpack and change... It is very difficult... :-(

Just unpack the archive to your Quake folder, then double click on darkplaces-sdl or darkplaces executable to start the game.

Yes, extract the contents of DarkPlaces engine Windows 64 OpenGL build 20140513 to the folder that you installed Quake: The Offering. Once you have done that, you should see a file in Quake: The Offering called "darkplaces.exe". Run it and you should be able to run the base game with the Dark Place source port.

Try it now and tell me how it went. If it was successful, I'll also give you some guides to run the mission packs and enable music with Dark Places (there is none by default).

There is no need to unpack darkplacesenginesource20140513. Leave it as it is. What you should do, instead, is to transfer all the files directly to Quake - The Offering's folder; not in a separate one as you have currently done.

Like I said, you don't need to unpack this to play the game. This is just the source engine if you are interested in further developing the source port.
