It's just neglect, same as the Discounted filter not working or whatever else. For the latter, they've added "Show only games on my wishlist" to the All Games page, which serves as a workaround when paired with "Show only discounted". So on occasion, things do improve around here, although it takes ages and it's never enough to keep pace with all the issues.

Both Dev0_NZ and I have repeatedly tried to point staff to his solution to no avail. I also brought it up as part of ticket 1404514 that I'd opened about the "0 games on profile" issue. I just now opened ticket 1529443 specifically about this. I don't expect anything more than the canned "I passed this on to the relevant team" response.
I recently couldn't convince a support agent to fix a game page's forum links to point to the series forum instead of General Discussion, so my confidence in GOG support is at an all-time low.

i think its funny the staff stop by an unofficial discord server (https://www.gog.com/forum/general/sort_by_date_added_to_store_from_newest_or_from_oldest_are_back_as_sorting_options_in_the_cata) to communicate..

id nearly join but im really done with GoG and have been spending my money elsewhere

Well, here it is. My last ditch effort to get someone to notice and either fix it or at least respond. I've tried forum replies, chat messages, support tickets, and now Discord. What else am I supposed to do, print out the post and attach it to a carrier pigeon? It shouldn't be this torturous to get someone to notice and do something.

it has updated numbers (for me) so it absolutely is working again...

gog kinda on a roll lately.. more sexy sony games (days gone was a tra la la and hoopla doo, for me) and two more to come, and some others and blah blah...

..but anyway, it looks as if (well, no, not "looks as if", it IS - i'm mental btw) the thread issue is fixed (hopefully for good)

now, listen to ME!!!! add option in wicked galaxy client to SORT BY PURCHASE DATE. that is a must. not interested in python or whatever scripts or 3rd party tools. not interested in some convoluted b/s tag "workarounds". (aside from even if i wanted to, having to then tag 2500+ items)

ALL I WANT IS FOR THE GALAXY CLIENT TO ADD ONE MORE (ALREADY HAS A ABOUT A DOZEN, WHICH IS GOOD) DAMN SORT BY OPTION, FOR ME THE MOST IMPORTANT; SORT BY PURCHASE DATE. ..and the web page has that and always did, so i just want it to be also available via the forced on galaxy client.

anyway.. time to go back to the "institute"...

Towards the end of October, Dev0_NZ managed to get in touch with with an amiable staff member on Discord. He fixed it in under 1 hour.

I've pointed him to your post above. Bear in mind the site and GOG Galaxy are very different things, and someone who works on the former might now know anything about the latter.

For now, the closest thing we have is the Recent tab, under the GOG Galaxy section in the sidebar. At the bottom of that page are the 10 games most recently added to your collection.
