BreOl72: Ok, I'll bite: what QR code?
Is this
(once again!) related to another of these "Brazil only" payment service thingies?
Maybe someone from Brazil should do a post about the ins and outs of these services in regard to overseas payment, and ask GOG to turn it into a sticky thread.
Jinx_Skeel: Idk what you talking about these brazil only thingies, really don't - I always buy up the games via PIX - they create a QR code then I scan it with my cell phone and that's it; but this time the QR code is always ending up in error message on my phone... and I've already tried this over and over, for 2 days already...
Okay, so what we mean by "Brazil only payment service thingies" is that the
entire rest of the world uses credit cards, debit cards, paypal or "Paysafecards" for people who for reasons known unto only themselves don't want to use the real banking system. People then either pay in local currency (if supported) or their card providers/paypal convert (typically) from USD or EUR into local currency.
For reasons that I've never really understood (inflation? under-developed banking system? restrictive laws?) Brazil seem to do things differently to everyone else and rely on Brazil only payment methods such as Boleto and this Pix thing.
What this means is that you're restricted to seeking support from other Brazilian users as for the vast majority of us, we've got no idea how the latest Brazilian payment system works. However, I'd also give the advice I gave in the Pix thread to the other user, which is "bear in mind that this is an international community and that people won't know about niche, highly localised products/solutions like Pix. Next time, give some more context and some explanation so that we know what you're talking about."
