I decided to buy it. Only to discover it still needs the log-in to claim the gog exclusive prize. I created an account alright, but each and every time i log in to it, says "connection to the server lost" or another message similar to that.

Can i demand a refund? Or is there any workaround about it?

My understanding is the 'GOG exclusive' stuff was patched into the game. Can you just get into the game without creating an account or will it not even allow that? If you can, then this stuff should show up early on. Can't recall exactly where or how.

Yeah, i ultimately read that on game shelf. This isn't the problem, alas, or it would have been solved already. Problem is the account i created from within the game, cannot communicate with the server and use the "Online" feature. Plus i tried to change its password just to make sure, and now says: "CD key provided is not valid".

UPDATE: SCRATCH THAT.

Solution: I created a new online account anew, this time it both accepted the serial and finally saw online connectivity.

Problem solved. Oh, the scares...

And good alternative to Diablo 3, which i consider to be crap beyond repair. Time to let diablo 2 rest in peace, then, this game here looks and feels satisfying.
