I have this problem with the game SOMA when I launch it the screen goes black and in one corner the game appears but I only can see a tiny portion of it. You can see what I mean with the photo. I use macos and all the drivers of the computer and game are up to date

Have you tried compatibility mode and all that?
You might find the answer on the specific game forum. Have you tried looking for a solution there yet?

A possible suggestion, taken from the game's forum (by DeMignon). Other users seem to have reported similar problems, and have solved by changing Graphic Modes.

Quoting:

- Go to the game's installation folder and run "Launch Graphic Mode Setup".
- Choose a different Graphic Mode like Ddraw, OpenGL or Direct3D.
- Apply settings and quit the Graphic Mode Setup.
- Check if the game runs.

EDIT: Missed the part about being on MacOS. Windows stuff does not apply, then, removing from post.

If you re-open the Graphic Mode Setup and your last changes aren't there, you have to run the setup as administrator (Right-click => Run as ..)

If you use Windows 7 or newer, you might have to install DirectX9 to complete your system with older DirectX components.
I am using a macbook pro, not a windows computer but an apple one
It might also be an issue with antialiasing.
On a Macbook with high dpi it might be a resolution / Super Sampling problem.

I did not have this problem before, I have not played the game in months and today I wanted to play it again and this problem occurred
It might be some macbook update bs. Windows updates do this kind of stuff all the time. If nothing else seems to be working, you could always try rolling back to the previous update.
Maybe there was a graphics card driver update? Sorry, but I can't help much. Most likely it's not antialiasing.
I know, that SOMA seems to be problematic with high resolution displays on Windows, too.
There seem to be problems when there is a second monitor connected.

The other things I can think of are:
try running fullscreen / borderless fullscreen (maybe by changing the config file).
and/or
Change Screen Resolution before game start to something more conservative like 1920*1080 or 1600*900.
And/or
change the setting Resolution "Default for display" to "Scaled" or vice versa and then try different resolutions and fullscreen settings.

I'd start messing with resolutions and scaling.
Good Luck

Edit: Delete the config file for SOMA first.

The photosize was too big has to be around 200kb
Also, if it was uploaded as a .png file, it won't show up. It needs to be .jpg or .jpeg
