Hi all,

I've been a console gamer for most of my life but I've been playing a lot of PC games over the past year now. All the games I've played so far can be done easily via a keyboard & mouse.

Now, I've been playing Little Nightmares lately and even though I can do it on a keyboard & mouse, it is the sort of game that is a lot easier via a console controller. My Xbox 360 controller can be used to play a bunch of my other games in my GoG Library, but for some reason I cannot figure out, does not work with Little Nightmares. I have read a few articles and watched a few videos to try and troubleshoot this issue but to no success.

I am a fan of MetroidVania titles and really want to play Ori, Blasphemous, Grime, Valfaris, and other games that are easier to handle via a controller, but am hesitant to do so because of the problem with Little Nightmares. For the record:

- My laptop is Windows 10
- The driver is up to date

I just wanted to pick your brains on this matter. Anything you have to offer could come in handy. Thanks all!

I couldn't find any information about Little Nightmares. One review mentions using an xbox controller.
A comment in the forum said they imported it into Steam to use 'Big Picture controller support'. I dunno what that is.

This is Ori's controller settings fwiw.

Odd ir works for me on Windows 10 with any controller I have even the X-box 360 controller granted unsure if this quirk I am about to say is do to game coding or a quirk from a program in my pc but to have all games that can register a constroller of the 360 type it has to be plugged in the back of the pc and not the front

Side note my Windows version is the Windows Pro version so that might make a difference I ain't sure what the differences between the Windows 10 versions are because I never looked to much into that thing .. I just am saying as maybe the Windows 10 version a person has might make a difference despite I doubt it would at all make such a big difference

In case Namzor22 has Steam running:
1) Open Controller Settings, Turn off Big Picture Exit, PlayStation Configuration Support, activate Xbox Configuration support confirm and exit
2) Shut down Steam and disable related services via Taskmanager

In case this problem is related to Windows:
1) Check whether the Controller is active and activated
1.1) If it is a bluetooth controller check its connection status
3) If Laptop has NVIDIA graphics: Win + R, services.msc -> Enter, Look for NVIDIA Wireless Controller Service, right-click on the service and click on Properties, Stop the service and disable it.
4) Uninstall the NVIDA Wireless Controller Service from the Software Manager
5) Open the device manager, right-click on the Windows Logo -> Device Manager, Win + R, devmgmt + Enter, look for USB-Controller and double-click on each entry -> Power Management -> uncheck: Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
5.1) You will also have to check any related device entries for controllers and other USB hardware to make sure this setting is disabled
6.) Do the same in case it is a bluetooth controller
5, 5.1, 6.) No need to reboot the system after changing these properties
7.) When neither of this solves the problem it could help to open a Terminal windows (Administrator), right-click on the Windows Logo, Windows Powershell (Administrator), sfc /scannow to make sure Windows is healthy.

In case it is the game:
1) Right-click on the shortcut and start it as administrator
2) Check the game configuration file
3) Make sure it runs in fullscreen mode (in case LN has an option for borderless window and exclusive fullscreen mode)
4) Check and/or repair game files
5) Un- and reinstall
