I'm pretty sure I've seen both being done regularly here in the forums. Aren't giveaways where someone buys you a game of your choice counted under that?

A guy wanted Morrowind at full discount when it was released here.
Iamsinistar gifted me bundle so I thought to help him.
We agreed that I will get him Morrowind (13$ at that time) and he will get me some games from Humble DRM-Free Sale Encore.
Well I did my part and guy screwed me. :P
Though a generous guy named Under_The_Hood gifted me Van Helsing 3 and told me to keep helping people. :)
He showed up once to "apologize" and offered me "payback" and I told him to help others instead of doing this.
Well never saw that guy in forums after that incident.

HunchBluntley: I am very, very patient when it comes to purchasing games. If I deem a price too high for how much gameplay/fun I think I would get out of a game, I just wait. Years, if I have to. :)
